Great Tour New York TV and Movie Sites

We have been to NYC many times but never did a tour such as this. More than anything, we were impressed with the tour guide, Brian. He was very funny and had a great personality. You can tell he loved his job and was extremely knowledgeable about everything relating to movies and television in NY. Truthfully, I was a bit disappointed that most of the movie sites we saw were movies that we hadn't seen yet, but that is more our fault I guess. My wife and I thought we watch a lot of movies but I guess we'd have to be bigger movie buffs to take full advantage of this tour because it seemed that most of the movies that were talked about, we hadn't seen. However, it was still a great tour and a lot of fun. We really liked Brian and thought he made the whole tour.

my family and i had a great time. the tour guide brian was fun and informative. the bus was comfortable, nice and cool on a hot day and able to see clips from tv shows and movies on monitors in bus comfortably. the windows in the bus were large which provided good views of things that were shown to us. the only thing i was disappointed about was when the online discription listed sights to be seen, not everything on the list was shown. getting on an off the bus 3 or 4 times was great, so we could get close to things, take pics, etc. and also to have lunch. i recommend this tour.

2nd time I was on tour--this time I took my two young adult daughters. I would have enjoyed more interaction -- quizzes/questions to the audience; more dialog. The first time tour guide asked questions and offered a second cupcake to a few of the winners. She also got the audience more involved shouting out fun phrases, etc. Missed the deletion of Carrie's front door, but loved the new Budakan spot. Having the group come in and walk through the restaurant must be good for their business--a few people made reservations while we were there! Tour was one of the highlights of our long weekend in NYC!

i was surprised how the 2 l/2 hour tour flew by! i liked the tv clips that matched the places the tour took you by and that you got off of the bus many times our tour guide was terrific she has a CD coming out soon and we all made her sing a few bars for us! she was very pleasant to listen to and just the right balance of info and fun

the only thing i would change is to give a little more shopping time in the village area as well as in buddakan maybe have a food sample if possible? it was cool to see where the scene was filmed but it seemed a little dull. i also think it would be cute if on the bus when they asked the questions there was a little reward. like i sex and the city key chain or something.

Me and my girlfriends LOVE Sex and the City and we heard about this tour. I read other reviews and how wonderful the experience was so I decided to purchase the tickets. Well let me tell you how RIGHT they were. It was great!! We had a ball. From eating cupcakes, to visiting the "rabbit store", to drinking cosmos and visiting most of the places where they filmed the seasons and also the movie. Our tour women, Stacy was hysterical and was really entertaining. I will def recommend that if you love Sex and the City to def experience this tour with you and your girlfriends. You will NOT be disappointed. Worth every dollar!!!

I had a girlfriend from college coming from San Diego to visit me. She had already been to NYC a few times, so there was no need to spend all of our time visiting the typical sights of Manhattan. I thought a fun way for her to see the city in a different light would be this tour. We both love the show and watched it in college and we both really enjoyed the tour. It shows you different areas of the city, but makes it more fun and interesting by incorporating the fun/sassy SATC hot spots rather than the usual spots. It was definitely a hit! I didn't realize that there would be TV's on the bus to show clips of the show and movie throughout the tour...that made it even better. Our tour guide was great too...she was very cute/funny/entertaining and definitely kept up the SATC vibe. I would definitely recommend this tour, even if you are a local like me and just looking for something different to do. Very cute!

A great tour to do with your girlfriends and a really fun way to see New York City. Our tour giude, Stacey, was a riot. Good idea to do this tour at the beginning of your trip so that you know what restaurants/bars to go to later on your trip as well as what neighborhoods are fun to explore.

my 17 year old daughter wanted to spend her time in New York finding the Gossip Girl locations, so I was delighted to find this tour, taking her around the city in safety. She insisted that I came with her to photograph her in the locations. Unfortunately, there were heavy showers and thunderstorms on that day, so we didn't get as many pictures as we wanted. We got a taxi to the Palace Hotel, and as we were early we went in the nearest Starbucks, returning after ten minutes to find a long line in front of the hotel. Lots of excited girls dressed in headbands with bows etc. some with mothers, some in groups, one dad and a couple who seemed to be on the tour so the could get off the bus and smoke heavily at all the locations. Like all the tours provided by this company, the guide was an enthusiastic fan of the series, who had tried to be cast in it herself. She struck the right note with her audience, asking which boy they found most attractive etc. As well as the outdoor locations which served as entrances to schools, we went in a fashion store (Henry Bendels??) which sold very pricey clothes, accessories and makeup. We were given a discount voucher before we went in, but even so everything was a bit overpriced. My daughter said if she still wore headbands she could get something very similar in Claire's Accessories, but a lot of the girls did make purchases. We also went in Dylan's Candy Bar, apparently owned by Ralph Lauren's daughter, which was the FAO Schwartz of sweets. Floors and floors of confectionary. Other stops included a walk down a street where there was a shop called Babycakes where our guide picked up little pots of cake frosting for us to eat outside the bus at another location. These were intended to represent Tequila shots which one of the characters had drunk Another episode concerned takeaway food from a Cuban restaurant, and we also walked down this street. I have to say my daughter wasn't that interested in these locations, but I found the streets very interesting, with more of a village-y atmosphere than the skyscraper area we had been staying in. For parents accompanying teenage daughters, it was very useful that each location was either preceded or followed by the relevant clip on TV screens in the bus. I can't imagine anyone booking this tour if they had not either watched the series or were accompanying family members who had watched the series. It really is an excellent tour for teenage girls who are fans of the TV programme, and the guide does whip them up into a state of excitement about the tour and the series. For locals, it might be a good birthday treat for a teenager and her friends. The guide got round the atrocious weather very well, considering. I think this would have been much more enjoyable in the dry, but it did not really spoil things for my daughter, and as far as I could see for all the other young girls on the tour.
