Amazing! Sopranos Sites

The Tour was Awesome and would highly recomend it to anyone who loves the Sopranos. The Tour guide was secodn to none and really knew his Sopranos. Will consider going again the next time i am in the states

I loved the tour, I'm from Manchester, England - I attended with my cousin, who is from New Jersey. She hadn't done the tour so we decided to do this together on my trip over to the States. It was so much fun! It wasn't quite what I expected as some of the things we saw were things that I hadn't thought of, for example the restaurant Budakhan in the movie, Aidan's store and also the parks that the girls go to - I'm not saying this is a bad thing at all. I have since been home and been able to tell my friends where I have been. The tour has enabled me to watch the movie and each episode with more insight. The key sights that I expected to see were there, for example, the bar, the Magnolia Bakery and the Pleasure Chest, it was great to enjoy a Cosmopolitan in the bar! One thing I would like to highlight is that the tour doesn't take you to see Carrie's apartment steps. I was aware of this beforehand so it didn't change my opinion of the tour, but I think that people may not be aware of this and may be slightly disappointed. It is understandable though - someone actually lives there so it's not appropriate for coaches of squealing girls to be hanging around outside, taking pictures!! The tour bus was extremely comfortable with rest facilities. Lou played clips of Sex and the City on fold down screens that were visible to everyone on board and really brought the information she was giving us to life. I would recommend the tour 110%. Lou, our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and this really heightened the experience. I would do the tour again, most definitely. And now there is a second movie, there will be more sights to view in the wonderful city.

really, really enjoyed this. I'd been looking forward to it for ages. Wish we could of gone to Carrie's stoop as I know people who've been on this tour and had there picture taken there, but we got to see bits of the movie instead so was well better. Thanks very much. xxx

I enjoyed this tour very much. My favourite locations viewed included the Ghostbusters firehouse, the Friends apartment block and fountain and the Crosby show house. I think there was the right mix of time on and off the coach. The lunch stop was a surprise as I was expecting to have to wait until the end of the tour. That Ben's Pizza (from MIB) sure has quick service. In terms of references to films and TV shows there were a few that I had seen and others that I had not even heard of let alone seen. How relevant these clips are depends on the mix and age group on the coach I suppose. There could have been a few more blockbusters or popular films referred to e.g. Die Hard with a Vengeance. Overall, worthwhile.

I had done the tour with my daughter about 4 years ago. Since I was in NYC with a friend who wanted to do the tour, I agreed to go again. Although the tour was good, I was sort of bored. Our tour guide Lou was wonderful, but I felt like I had been there and done that. I did miss that there was no stop at Carrie's apt. I love the addition of the videos. I think that adds a lot to the tour if only to remind you of various scenes. I would like to say again how great a job Lou did. The fact that I was a bit bored had nothing to do with her. She has a bubbly personality and really makes it fun.

i have to say that, being a number one fan of sex and the city for plenty of years, this tour was extremely dissaponting. the girls who take u during the tour just keep talking horrible things. ~They just try to sell things all the way on the tour. And as unbelievable as it can sound, it made me feel embarrased. It wasnt only me, all of u, me and my 3 gilrfriends felt the same. Its a real pitty, that sth that could be an entertaiment and a few hours of really enjoying the best of your favourites series, have to be as bad as this.l Girls, think twice before u go please. its not worth. But thanks god i still love sex and the city#!

Disappointing New York TV and Movie Sites

Having attended a similar tour in San Francisco earlier this year which was excellent we expected a lot. The content of the tour was essentially good - with a vast array of films and TV shows set in New York we expected some possible favourites might be left out but the major tltles were included. What we were disappointed with was the presentation. When we took our San Francisco tour we were taken to a location, told about it and shown at the same time a clip from the relevant film or TV show with scenes from the location. On this New York tour the guide talked a lot about the location then in lulls showed groups of clips, some of which were of locations viewed 30 or 40 minutes before. Even then he would interupt the clips to talk about something that had come up that had occurred to him about where we were at a particular time. This made the tour disjointed and we didn't get to see all the clips. As said the content was good but it would have been much more enjoyable if each location was given a visual frame of reference by showing it on film at the same time.

My son and I took the New York City TV show sights tour and had a great time. It was enjoyable to see the city from the comfort of the bus while hearing about great TV shows and movies that had used sights and buildings from the city. Our tour guide did an awesome job. Definitely enjoyed the four stops we made including the lunch at Ben's Pizza. The staff at the Ben's could stand to be a little nicer, but the food was great.
