Sex and the City Hotspots

My mother and I went to NYC for my birthday this weekend. We read on the site that if you need a handicap bus to let them know at least 2 weeks ahead of time. My mother is handicap and we contacted Zerve about it. After a week with no response we called Zerve and they said they had yet to hear from On Location Tours (the company doing the SATC Tour) but he gave us their information and we called. We got a voicemail and left a message. Still day of trip they never got back to us, so my mom decided to leave her electric wheelchair at home. We get there and are ignored by one of the tour guides while she fought with the drivers. We then found where we needed to go and got in line. One of the tour guides noticed my mom had a cane and offered us front seat so she would be by the door so she wouldn't have to walk as much. The tour itself was boring. We sat on a bus with a semi-blown out speaker and tv's that would stop working. The bus driver didn't seem to understand a word out tour guide was telling him and almost hit a few cars with his horrible right turns. (One car had to back up a few feet to avoid being hit.) I spent half my time on the tour thinking we were going to get in an accident. The other half consisted of watching clips from the show and movie as we drove by mediocre locations that had about a 2 minute shot in one episode that never even shown the name! The four stops we made were at least semi significant or nice to see. Our guide didn't go above and beyond like many people have reviewed. She stuck to this is the place, here's the clip! No extra information. We got a list of places we "viewed" an we didn't even go near 1/3 of them. I was disappointed we didn't go outside Carries apartment like many people mentioned on here! Our guide was nice, but she didn't go above and beyond.. My mother who had never seen the show was just as bored as I was and the only plus to her was getting to see the city! I was extremely disappointed, if I wanted to sit for 3.5 hours and watch the show I would have saved the cost of going to NYC and the tour and watched at home for free!

My best friend and I live in NYC, and both love the show Sex and the City. While I enjoy it, she is absolutely obsessed, so when I heard about this tour I knew I had to do it for her birthday. As New Yorkers I thought a tour bus might be a little boring for us, but I was so wrong! The tour was a great way for us to enjoy the sights of NYC before we both left for college again. Our guide, Lou, kept us laughing with trivia, polls, and stories. The stops we made were great and the coupons for local stores was a wonderful surprise. We were even reminded of some great locations we will be sure to go to in the future for a good meal. The trip was fun, entertaining, and we were all treated wonderfully on the bus. I highly recommend this too anyone who wants to see NYC, or enjoy a quirky fun night with their gals. Great activity!

We had a great time on this tour! Our tour guide, Emily, was fantastic. She was enthusiastic and friendly . . . you could tell she enjoys her job. My husband was a little reluctant because he thought it would be all women, but it wasn't and he was relieved to see other men on the tour. However, even if he was the only man I think Emily made it so much fun that he would have been just fine. We really liked being able to get off the bus and walk around different areas. . .loved that we had our picture taken on Carrie's brownstone stoop, loved the cupcakes, and the cosmos! It was a fun, relaxing time and we both have already recommended it to our friends. Thanks so much! - Carrie

The tour was so really fun. A must to do but recommend to do it at the beginning of your stay so that you have time to go back to some of the "sex in the city" shopping, dining and special locations at your own leisure time. The tour guides are very interactive, beautiful and fun. I had my teenage daugher with me so it was cool to share the experience with her. However, it is important to note that it depends on the maturity level of your teen due to some of the tour content which should be expected if you are an avid "sex in the city" viewer or fan. I would love to see this as a full-day tour so that we can see more spots and spend more time at these sights!!

the tour offers a pretty good overview and is a perfect start for a girls weekend. Many recommendations for shopping, coffees and party places. Wei will recommend it to friends. nice tour guide; we liked the films. It would be VERY nice to get a bigger with more recommendations as "hand out": where to go and where to shop. I absolutely loved this tour! With visiting 40 locations, it gives you a chance to really view the whole city. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and really kept us interested. I am still talking about it and I recommend anyone who loves Sex and the City and wants to see New York to take this tour. Simply awesome experience!

What a great time!!! Lou was an excellent tour guide. The S&TC tour shows you NY in an entirely different way. I will never watch my girls (Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha) the same way again. I will put them in their Manhattan locations. My group of friends and I had a blast. Some favorites: Bleeker Street, Pulitzer Fountain (where the tour begins). ..one of our favorite Carrie moments happened here! And who cannot like O'Neils Bar a.k.a. Scouts. Lou, thanks for a helluva time!

Had an excellent time on the SATC tour with my best friend our tour guide was fantastic! Cupcakes were delicious and a great way to spend 3.5 hours in NYC. A must for any SATC fan!!
