Sex and the City Hotspots

On our tour, we got to see many of the "hot spots" that were seen on the series and/or movie. At some locations, we were able to walk around for 15-20 minutes. On the tour, we received a free cupcake and some coupons, and we even stopped for a Cosmopolitan. To review some locations, we saw clips from the series and the movie, and we even viewed the trailer for Sex and the City 2. Jessica was entertaining and accomodating! We were not sure how it would be on a Sunday, but we were still impressed with the entire tour. After the tour, we returned to some of the spots mentioned in the tour to experience them for a longer amount of time. I think that many of the other tours offered would be fun too!

Jessica is perfect for this tour. She presents NY ladies as in the movie. Very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Pretty and funny.

Our tour departed 40 minutes late. Once we were finally on the bus the tour guide tried to make the best of it by attempting to get to all the destinations with in the shortened time frame. She spoke so fast because she was rushing to get through it all that we had a hard time understanding her. It also didn't help that the microphone volume was too loud so at times it was ear piercing. At the destinations where we were able to get off the bus the time was shortened so drastically that we didn't have time to do any of the things advertised in the brochure. We barely had time to get everyone off the bus and then back on the bus. I would also caution people that in my opinion the tour is only for HUGE fans of the show. Several people in my group had seen some of the episodes and the movie but still had a hard time following it. Maybe that was because the lady was talking a mile a minute though. Tough to tell? Cosmos were great although they advertised that there would be a discounted price which ended up being merely a smaller glass. Very tacky! Needless to say overall we were very unhappy with the tour.

We were almost one hour delayed because the bus got tied up in traffic. OUr guide, Stacey, kept everyone informed every few minutes and kept it together. My recommendation is that you have two buses standing by at all times. The tour itself was great, and really enjoyed the clips from the TV show and the second movie trailer. We got to see parts of New York we probably wouldn't have seen. More clips would be nice. Getting dropped off in Times Square right before they evacuated it for the car bomb was interesting; I was not aware that we would be dropped off in a different place from where we started, and that info up front would have been nice. It was a great tour and I would highly recommend it to Sex and the City fans.

The bus was over half an hour late. the bus driver did not know where he was going. They told us he was late due to traffic but he asked to guide for directions several times so I'm going to go ahead and assume this is not true. We ordered the party extras for the bride to be and they took them on the wrong bus so she did not get them until after the tour. We had to leave early so that we didn't miss our dinner reservation so we missed the last half hour. I was disappointed by the incompetance all around.

We were scheduled to start our tour at 3:00, and did not get on the bus until 3:45. It was sad, as we had reservations for dinner at 7:00, hoping that our tour would end at 6:30 like it was supposed to. This was a scheduled bachelorette party in which we ordered a special package. When we got on the bus, the package was not there, and our tour guide did not really come up with a solution until around 5:45, when she figured that the package was on the other bus (which conveniently left at 3:00 unlike ours). In addition to not being on time, all of our stops were either skipped or shortened leaving us with little to no time to enjoy the tour. Our bus driver was new and our tour guide had to stop the tour every minute to give him directions. It seemed like the whole tour had this negative tone throughout. I was very upset that as a bachelorette party of 7, we were moved to the 2nd bus which was late, when we were clearly in line for the first bus way before others arrived. Our tour was late, causing every stop to be late, causing our group to have to get off 2 stops early to make our reservation. We missed the end of the tour and were not compensated for the lack of bachelorette package. I was disappointed and hoped it would've been better and on time.

We had purchased tickets for the 3pm sex and the city tour for a group of 7 girls for a bachelorette party. 4 of the 7 girls including myself were checked in and in line for the tour by 2:20pm and the other 3 girls met up with us around 240. We were told to be the first ones in line for the second bus leaving at 3pm and ended up waiting until 330 for the bus to arrive. In the meantime, the tourguide was trying to speak about the plaza hotel but no one could hear her over the city noise. She should have been yelling louder or had a microphone. When the bus finally did arrive, the bus driver had no idea where anything was on the tour and where to drive so our tour guide was also giving directions to the driver. Overall the tour was great but the tour guide Stacy should have been more enthusiastic and instead was frustrated by the late bus and the traffic in the city and this created a very pessimistic attitude on the bus. Our group ended up ending the tour early after the ONiels bar stop because we needed to get to a 7pm reservation. We had also purchased a bachelorette package from the pleasure chest for the bride that was on the bus that we didnt receive until the last stop of the tour and we were very disappointed in this. Overall the tour could have been really great had we gotten on the first bus and our tour guide was more optimistic and enthusiastic.

The tour began on a really rough note; our tour bus arrived forty-five minutes late. Our tour guide, Staci appeared to be a bit rude at first, but this was only because she had been frustrated by the whole situation. Once we got on the bus, i had a good time, but i couldn't enjoy myself to the fullest extent because I was so concerned about the lost time and how it would affect my evening plans. I enjoyed the cup cakes, the cosmos (not free, but relatively inexpensive) and the locations we stopped, especially Buddakhan! I wish we could have stopped/gotten off to take pics at the NY public library, but I'll get over it. Overall, it was a fun experience that I would recommend to anyone who loves Sex and the City.

Being on my own in NYC for business, I was looking for something fun to do during the week-end! A friend of mine told me about this exciting Sex & the City tour, so I simply bought a ticket on-line, but without knowing really what I was going to find on that bus! And finally, I really had a GREAT time during more than 3 hours (very good deal for 44$), immersed into Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda's world, going from one place to another around Manhattan where the show has been shot, eat cupcakes and drink cosmos!! Our tour guide (Amy) was really funny and full of energy, you can only end this tour with a great enthusiasm and smile!!! Just go for it!
