A must-do for true SATC fans
Sat, Nov 21, 09   3:00 PM Valida82 Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
The tour was great, I think the sex toy shop could be removed from the tour. Although the rabit was part of the show, I would have rather visited more spots from the show than spend time at the shop. Obviously the store provides incentives to the company for bringing the bus and business to the shop. Seeing the other sites and the clips helped make connections between the locations and the show. Any regular viewer of the show would enjoy seeing the sites in person and hearing about the inside scoup on filming and the stories seen on tv and the movie. Many locations are from the movie (first movie), I think I will go on the tour again after the second movie comes out to see the new "stops". Overall it was a great tour, I did not give five stars because of all of the time spent at the small sex shop (Pleasure Chest). For young girls who have never been to a shop it is probably fun, but for anyone college age and older I think it can be skipped.

Sex & the City tour edgy and refreshing!

The SATC tour was a refreshing and edgy break from typical NYC tour bus activities. The mix of tour guide commentary, film & TV show clips, and stops for shopping/snacking/drinking were a perfect balance for the 3.5 hour time period. Lindsay showed great enthusiam and knowledge of the show and the city landmarks--she was definitely part of the entertainment. She also gauged the crowd well and tapped in successfully to their needs and preferences. While I live in the city now, my sister is from the south and we both feel that this tour was well worth the cost. The cupcake and cosmo are a nice touch, as well as the reasonable priced stores/shops that are recommended throughout.

Girls Day in the City
Sat, Nov 21, 09   3:00 PM JuneGee Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
We have a group of girls (the number varies at times) known as the "B" Club (and yes, the B stands for something that rhymes with witch - although you can't really be one to be in the club). Throughout the year we plan various trips, parties, dinners, movie nights, etc. Some of our locations have been Cancun, Las Vegas, Toronto and several others and, of course, what happens there, stays there. We had planned a bus trip to NYC and someone mentioned something about a Sex and the City tour, so I went on line and found the Zerve site. After a quick consult, I booked all of us for the Sex and the City Tour. The price was reasonable and we are all fans of the show/movie. We opted for the 3 pm tour which was a good plan after spending the earlier part of the day shopping and walking and shopping and walking. The pickup and drop off locations were perfect for the other activities of the day. Much to all of our surprise we saw and learned about parts of the city we never knew existed. Following the trail Carrie and the cast blazed through the city was more fun than we anticipated. The stops we made were great and any shopping at the locations had the perk of added discounts - the best being the free cupcake from The Magnolia Bakery (to die for) and a discounted Cosmopolitan at Onieal's Speakasy (alias Scout bar). Our guide, Lindsey Gentile, was truly entertaining and a great host. We will be talking about this trip for quite awhile. Thanks!!

This is a great tour for SATC followers (and even those who don't follow the show). Lou was a great guide, very upbeat. Informational and fun, and shows you great NYC spots. Adding the clips from the shows and movies is a great touch. This was my second tour and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

This tour is so good, I took it twice!

I came to NYC and took the SATC tour last year and had Emily as my tour guide. My sister and I had a GREAT time and we were so happy with what we got to see and do while on the tour. My best friend is also a huge fan so I decided to do the tour again with her last weekend. The info was changed up a bit from my last tour and they added an extra stop to update it after the movie came out. I love that I didn't feel like I was sitting on an exact rerun of the one I took before, Amy was our tour guide this time and was a blast! I would totally reccommend this tour!

My girlfriend really enjoyed this, the only missing thing being that the tour does not show the location of where the characters purportedly live. Great fun with the interactive parts of the tour to provide natural breaks and keep the excitement up. Lou, our tour guide, was fun, friendly and lively!

Not enough stops

What I thought was great: - Super enthusiastic tour guide, very good at describing where to look - Easy pick up and drop off location - The tour was very efficient, and well organized - this was great. Things that could be improved: - There weren't enough stops! I think there were only 4 in 3 hours! - it would have been nice if the tour was accompanied by a map, so that you could mark down spots to go back and visit. - Some of the locations had changed (i.e. Banana Republic used in Season 1 now American Apparel - also this wasn't that big of a moment), these could be omitted and replaced with a more relevant scene. - More key scenes/locations to be shown - i.e. where Aidan suggested they get married after the Black and White ball. - Perhaps partner with some of the yoga studios/sports clubs used in the show to attain special rate guest passes for participants. Overall, the tour was good, I was expecting a bit more as I heard such great things from past participants. And from what I understand some of the locations have changed (i.e. no longer go to Carrie's stoop - perhaps announce why the tour no longer goes there). I wouldn't go again, and wouldn't necessarily recommend it, as most of the locations could be researched on ones own time. The tour guide was great - a natural flair for the dramatics. Perhaps a more genuine, less 'performative' experience would have been welcomed.

Fans of the show will have a complete blast. Yet, you don't have to be a fanatical fan to enjoy the tour. Most of the best locations from the show and movie are visited. Our tour guide was THE best, most kind, most informative tour guide I've had anywhere. Her name is Lou Matthews. If possible to book your tour with her specifically, definitely do so!! Lots of fun!!
