The Sopranos tour was excellent in all respects! I was there with a friend of mine and she has never seen the show and she was very impressed with the quality of the tour. I thoroughly enjoyed it, seeing the various sites and the tour guide was very personable and he really made it a lot of fun. The only suggestion I could think of to add to the tour would be to include a road map, mapping out the tour and maybe one describing the exact route that Tony takes in the opening of the show. I was interested that he does not drive in a linear route to his home, but drove around according to David Chase's instructions. A map of the route showing the location of Pizzaland and so forth and the actual roads taken would be a fun addition. Good job all the way around, highly recommended. |

We really enjoyed our Sopranos Sites tour. The bus was clean and comfortable. Our guide was amazing with his knowledge of the most obscure Sopranos trivia and his comic delivery. Seeing the backroads of New Jersey was enjoyable and our visit to the Bada-Bing club was hilarious! Highly recommended! |

We enjoyed "the story behind the series". I was not aware that the actors portraying the main characters were locals and/or Italian! I believe this is why the series was such a great success, the episodes are so real, genuine and believeable of the ethnic backround they all brought to our living rooms. Being an Italian I could relate to the customs, language and disfunctional family matters/members. This tour brought a sense of being a part of la famiglia.
The Irish had the "Molly Maguire's", the Afro-Americans the "Black Panthers", the Italians "The Mob" and the Soprano's is an education of how the "Mob" lives from day to day. |

Try to arrive in plenty of time - we arrived 15 mins before as recommended but everyone else was already there and had posed for photos with Vito already - we thought there was a hurry to get on the bus so missed our photo op. Vito is also selling some of the best Sopranos merchandise from his car - signed photos etc (the HBO shop was disappointing). The tour guide was brilliant - an actor who had been in several episodes and knew all the inside gossip. Sites themself weren't great, apart from the steps where Christopher was shot, the final scene diner and Bada Bing - the rest were pretty unmemorable until they showed film clips on the bus. Disappointed not to see the Soprano's house, and Satriales pork market has been knocked down. The best part of this trip is hearing all the gossip and trivia on the bus - great for die hard fans. Biggest kick for me was arriving at the final scene diner - theme music playing - and entering to get our wee bag of onion rings then get photos with a Tony look-a-like in the same booth, wearing clothes from the final scene and smoking a big fat cigar. Way more exciting than Vito!! Despite some let downs, this is a must for any true Soprano's fan. I'm still singing the theme song... |
