Great tour, great guide
Sat, Nov 22, 08   2:00 PM tonypellens Male 50-59 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
The right tour for Soprano fans and a peculiar look at New Jerseys back alleys which in itself is interesting for international tourists. Great tour guide Gary with lots of stories and knowledge. Since some distances are covered it is nice to have the video clips on the bus in between. Obviously the places of the Sopranos are not as glamorous as those on Sex and the City. But it puts everything in perspective. We loved the onion rings at Holsten's!

Top value and recommended for Soprano fans

The tour guide provided considerable insight to the making and success of the Sopranos. The visit to locations and ability to answer all the questions raised by the tour group makes it a recommeded event.

I loved the tour

If I were to win tickets to the sopranos tour I would go again. Marc (tour guide) was great he knows how to get a group of people to get their brains working on any question he has. The main thing I enjoyed about Marc his knowledge of the sopranos was accurate. I just wish that we could have seen the house but we got to see so much of the areas that the sopranos where created.

Ok, but merchandising strategy awful

Yes, I was enthusiastic when I saw Vito there. He was only there in order to sell merchandising. He (the actor who plays Vito on The Sopranos) didn't even accept a picture with me if I ha'dn't bought anything. He was rude, except when my girlfriend took a picture of us. Very professional, haha.

Best guided tour I've ever been on, ok so I may have only been on a couple, but it was very well done, and the guide an extra from the show and was a very helpful and friendly guy. It was really great to see a whole host of the locations from the best show ever on TV and get some idea of how they put the show together. I'm sure big T himself would have appreciated this tour.

I initially thought the tour seemed a little expensive. Having taken it, my wife and I found it to be well worth the cost. We have taken a number of tours in the US and overseas. This one was one of the best. It was well done, the leader was excellent and it was just plain fun!

Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Visiting various locations(especially sitting in the booth Tony and the "family" sat in during the final episode)was just wonderful. The tour guide really made everything come alive. A must for any SOPRANO fan.

Interesting tour

Evaluating the whole tour I must say it was quite interesting and much info was provided in order to satisfy everybody's curiosity, and Marc Baron was an outstanding tour guide. The onion rings provided at Holstens were a very nice surprise, however the stop should had been longer. The worst thing was the appearance of "Vito" before catching the bus, although no word was said, you couldn't take a picture with him unless you bought some of his stuff, completely unofficial (no HBO mechandising at all) and honestly I think 20 bucks for a signed picture is abusive, I can't figure out how much he charged for the fake Bada bing plates or his t-shirts, he seemed very greedy and not very nice, he didn't look at you until you were giving him the money.
