The ultimate Soprano's experienced

I flew all the way across the country for this tour, and am so glad I made the trip. The tour guide, Marc Baron is truly outstanding and made the experience top notch. I'm a die hard Sopranos fan, and I feel like now I can watch all the episodes again and again with a new experience after having seen and heard so much about the Sopranos that I never knew. The tour guide is very open about answering questions anyone had, keeping the full four hours interesting with trivia and his personal insight from the show, and has a great set of clips to complement each stop/landmark that you get to see on the tour. I would love to go back and do it again some day. You won't be disappointed.

I'd like to start by saying that you don't need to be a huge Sopranos enthusiast in order to enjoy yourself! I have only made it through the first three seasons, and I was able to enjoy all that this tour has to offer (though I suggest watching the last episode so that you're up on some of the locations). The locations are very well thought out, and presented in a way that allows you to see the location before going to it. Our tour guide was very knowlegable (perhaps because he was part of the show?!) and he kept the group entertained with interesting facts about the show that you wouldn't know unless you took the tour. La piece de reistance was going to the restaurant where the last episode is flimed, and sitting in Tony's booth. I also enjoyed the visit to the Bada Bing (known to the locals at Satin Dolls!) where we were able to enjoy a drink where Tony spends all his time. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see New Jersey, has an interest in the Sopranos, and wants to learn a little (or a lot) more about the show! My boyfriend and I had a great time, and had some great experiences as well.

Overall Good, could be shorter

I think that the overall experience was good, but the tour could have been 3 hours or less instead of 4. I was bummed that we didn't know ahead of time that the Pork Store is gone, that's a main attraction for the tour. It was really neat to go into Holstens and sit down and hang out in there for a minute. A lot of places on the tour are not recognizable...they are from one clip or one scene where someone gets dug up, or shot, or beat to death...so its kind of neat, but in reality I wouldn't even know or remember if that was true or not. The tour guide is funny and entertaining, he makes the tour interesting and tells a lot of great facts about the show and their characters!

A Sopranos Fan Must Do Tour

This tour is great whatever the weather, it rained for us and didn't dampen the experience, in fact made New Jersey seem very Sopranos like! The meeting place was easy to find, the coach very comfortable (including bathroom) and there were stops during the later part to buy some food. Would recommend you eat before you do the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable on the whole Sopranos series, having been in some episodes himself. During the ride you get clips from the series which depict the locations you visit, this helps make it even more real, especially if its a while since you saw the series. We really loved visiting the diner where the last episode was filmed, I will definitely be going back (and taking my kids this time). As for Bada Bing, this was my first experience of a pole dancing club and most likely my last, if you don't want to interact with the girls, don't sit at the bar. Tips - take cash for Bada Bing as they only take cash. Take an umbrella just in case. Eat before you go and don't forget your camera and brush up on your Sopranos knowledge before you go. This tour is well worth doing.

Inside-View and Trivia about the "Sopranos"
Sun, Jun 7  2:00 PM pat13485 Male 30-39 International Tourist(s) Individual
As a german fan of this series, I didn`t see all episodes, so am not with the best knowledge. But because I once lived in Northern New Jersey, where the stories take place, I became a fan of the series and later on I liked the plot and the characters. Therefore I was interested in this tour. Before the tour there was photo and signature meeting with one of the actors. The guide an actor himself, played several short mostly non-speaking parts during the series. So he was with some inside knowledge and shared those with the tour-guests. The tour was interesting, showed a lot of the areas and certain places, where the stories were shot. Included were several stops and visits to important locations. During the tour the guide told a lot of background info, about the series, the actors, the area and the technics of tv-shooting. He mixed this with some quiz and prizes for our knowledge about the Sopranos. Altogether I enjoyed the tour and if you are / were interested in this show, do the tour.
