Fun and interesting! Worth the time and money!

At first I thought "3 1/2 hours?? We'll probably jump ship somewhere along the way when we get bored." -never happened! The tour itself was really interesting, but with the great tour guide, very comfortable bus and the tv monitors, the time flew by. I can't remember our tour guide's name but he was a part-time actor and gave us a lot of info on how filming works behind the scenes. He was very funny and had a likeable personality. I had only seen about half of the movies and tv shows that we saw locations for, but we'd watch a clip of it first and then see it in person. Enchanted was a big one with a lot of scenes. I've never seen it, but now i will. Overall, me and my daughter (35 and 13) both enjoyed it equally, so apparently it's geared for kids as well as adults. It's also a great way to cool off and give your feet a break while still sightseeing in NYC!

HORRIBLE TOUR!!!

I was extremely unsatisfied with the tour. Not only was it three hours of absolute boredom but it was also completely falsely advertised. Your descriptions say that the tour will take us to the sets of our favourite shows etc, when in-fact you sit on a bus for three hours and stare at buildings that were featured in films/tv shows for about 30 seconds. I was extremely upset that I wasted three valuable hours in NYC with this tour. Some friends of ours were thinking of going and we ran home to ensure they do not order tickets. I will continue to pass the word along that this tour is nothing but false promises and utter boredom...please explain to me what the $38 went towards... gas money for the bus?

Am from the NY area and the tour was a birthday present. I saw many areas of the city that were new to me. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the sites. The movie/TV clips shown were great. We especially liked getting out at some of the places, such as the Ghostbuster Firehouse & the Friends Apartment. Also, the pizza at Ben's pizza was truly a New York treat!

It was good, My husband said , he wishes there were more stops. More sites would have been great to see , ie. statue of liberty , ground zero, etc. We were in NY for 1 1/2 days, so we wanted to see as much as possible. I would recommend this to anyone who goes, because we did get to see alot of the city . But it would have been great to see some more sites. Overall , from my 6 yr old to my teenage son, to my 78 yrs.old mother, we really enjoyed it. Thank you Eleanor

The bus was airconditioned and had a restroom! Very comfortable. The hostess was enthousiastic and told us all the information she had on the relevant subjects. We also had some stops during the tour and we were able to take a closer look at the spots and we all could make pictures. During the tour some movie shots were shown in the bus which made it all more realistic. If you love watching movies and tv series then you really should take this tour.

Good Overview with Enthuiastic Tour Guide

The tour does a good job of explaining how a scene is set with an outside shot for a few seconds and the following scene could be inside that building or of some Hollywood studio. The tour involves highlights and glimpses of Manhattan's favorite movie/tv filming sites or scene setters as you shuttle and scurry through New York city downtown traffic. It's amazing how many movies/ shows use the same sites and the pamplet should handed out earlier to follow along - often the clips were shown long after passing up the site along the tour route. The ratio of bus touring to walking the site should be changed in my opinion - now it is about 80% bus touring to 20% walking sites. I would make it about 50/50 ratio. For instance I would do a Broadway/Central Park/ Plaza Hotel dropoff by starting along the Circle at Central Park and proceed east in the saftey? of Central Park winding up at the Plaza Hotel fountain area. Like wise I would do a Spiderman scene setting in Mid Manhattan and a circle/block around the Flatiron Building and Court Buildings. The City Library would make another nice stop, but the Firehouse is too small of a scale to waste a stop for. Maybe set the mood in the bus with scene clips and then walk the walk at the site. The Gossip Girl references were lost on someone of my age and maleness.

Gary was awesome! He seemed to know everything you'd want to know about locations in New York and would also share with us interesting facts that we didn't realize we wanted to know at all! He seemed to really enjoy his job and have fun with it. The 3.5 hours flew by and we enjoyed every minute. This was my first time to New York City, so my reality of it was from movies and TV, and Gary brought those places to life for us! Thank you for providing such a fun tour and having such great people to lead them. Also our bus driver John was great!

I recently did the New York TV Sights and Movie tour whilst on a recent trip there. I thoroughly enjoyed the content of the tour and the places visited. I highly commend Rosemary for being a fantastic tour guide, she was funny, witty but still serious. I would highly recommend this tour.

There was a lot to see on this tour. The only complaint I have is the group was so large that at one point, it was impossible to hear the tour guide when we got out of the bus. She was yelling but the street noise made it impossible to hear her. The people at the back of the group with me just shrugged their shoulders and only wished we could hear. Maybe this tour needs to invest in a megaphone so everybody can benefit from what is being said. Other than that, we thought this was a good tour. The guide was very well informed and gave lots and lots of great facts about the different neighborhoods we went through.
