The tour guide was clear and enthusiastic (Emily). We went on the tour on our first day in New York and it was a fantastic way to see the city and see sights that we wouldn't otherwise have recognised. For the rest of our stay we kept seeing the sights again and the kids would remember what had been said.
The best way to kick off your stay! |

We had Emily as our tour guide and she was awesome!! Would recommend the tour to anyone coming to NYC! The bus was comfortable and nice, but had a TV monitor out and we couldn't see much of the movie clips. Really enjoyed Rice to Riches!! |

Our group enjoyed the tour for the exposure it provided to neighbourhoods we might otherwise never have seen but we all agreed it was as if the guide was working from a script that was written 20 years' ago. Surely the Cosby's could be dropped in favour of CSI:NY. There must be hundreds of more recent movies than When Harry Met Sally or Sleepless in Seattle. Also we thought the trip should have been planned to include some "must see" sights such as the Seinfeld apartment building and restaurant, and Carrie's apartment (SATC) (even though SATC is another specialty tour some sites really should also be on this tour). Even if more miles had to be covered to get these other sites in, the time could be compensated by not spending 20 minutes outside the Cosby house with the corresponding spiel about the set that it seemed no one cared about. Oddly, too, for a native New Yorker the guide seemed quite unaware of the history of some of the neighbourhoods where we stopped. The value of the tour would be hugely enhanced by an additional commentary on some of the spectacular buildings that went by, historical references, or more recent "news" about what we were seeing. We think a rewrite is definitely needed. |

Emily the tour guide was great and she was well informed about current and recent shows and movies. I was more interested in a broader scope including the Honeymooners, I love Lucy etc. Please consider making a tour for the baby boom generation. |

Our group was 2 moms and 2 teens. We all loved the tour and especially our tour guide. My only regret is that I should have taken the tour at the beginning of our stay in NY as that would have given us tips about further things we wanted to do. I would definitely take another tour with this company. I hope they offer a tour of the Central Park Uptown area similar to what we saw----doesn't have to be tv & movie oriented, although those fun tidbits would be nice. |

Took the tour with my young adult children. They all enjoyed it. It's a terrific way to be introduced to Chelsea, Soho, Tribeca, and all the other neighborhoods. You will want to return to learn more and support the businesses. Times Square is great to experience as a tourist, but so is the rest of Manhattan. Our tour guide was very good. This was our second tour with On Location. We had also gone on the Sex and the City tour on another trip to NYC. It too was very good. I've recommended this NYC activity to others and they have been pleased as well. The guides on both the tours seem knowledgeable of the city. The tours are three to four hours, but worth the price. |

Did the tour with two teenagers in tow. Brian was our tour guide. The coach was very comfortable and included video screens which meant we were able to watch snippets of all the movies whose locations we visited. Thought this was a brilliant idea. Brian was exceptional: very knowlegdeable, witty, warm and made the whole trip very worthwhile. The two 1/2 hr tour also took in a large swathe of New York so not only did we get to see the movie locations we also got a tour of the Big Apple thrown in. The trip included various stops where we got out to view a location and even stopped to get rice pudding.! Make sure you ask to stop here. The rice pudding was delicious! Altogether excellent value. Would recommend without hestiation. |
