New York TV and Movie Sites

The tour was pretty good (not as much fun as the Greenwich Village tour we took the day before). The group is pretty big, so it takes some time getting on & off the bus at the different spots. Our tour guide Brian gave us a NY insiders view of the places we visited & how different the portrayal on the screen is different from the reality of where those places are in NY. The stop at the rice pudding place was a waste of time. It would have been nice to see a few more recent locations as there are a bunch of new shows/movies with NY as the backdrop. This is a good tour if you don't want to walk around much. We only got off the bus a few times. It would be nice if there was no smoking when we got off of the bus though. We would all group together to hear the tour guide & inevitably someone would be smoking in the group & made it somewhat unpleasant. We also had some issues with the parade going on Saturday, so I think we missed a few spots, we were dropped off at a different location & the tour ended a little late. Check to see what else is going on in the city before booking the tour so you don't end up stuck in traffic!

I really enjoyed our tour and tour guide Roseanne. It is always wonderful to have a guide who is from the area and really knows her stuff. Gary, our guide, provided an entertaining and knowledgeable commentary of various movie locations in New York. I would recommend it for anyone who loves movies.

I enjoyed the tour, the tour guide made it fun, liked the movie and TV clips showing the sites we saw. Liked the variety of places on the tour. I actually picked this tour because it was the only tour I could find that was wheelchair accessible - thank you!

Enjoyed the tour. The tour guide with very detailed. The bus driver was the best, he coiuld really turn corners in tight places....

Lots of information provided. My 14 yr. old daughter enjoyed it cuz she had seen the movie I am Legend, and my 9 yr. old was pleased with the Enchanted sites. My favorite was the Wait unitl Dark brownstone. My husband truly enjoyed being chauffered around. A real treat since he's always the one driving in the city. We have been to NYC countless times and my husband said it was, "one of the best things we've ever done in New York".

I am a travel agency owner in Westchester County and my Mom and I had decided to do something "touristy"!!!! Our tour guide, Emily, was very knowledgeable and really enjoyed herself! We sang songs and learned quite a bit of TV/Movie detail that we had no idea about!!! I would suggest this to anyone looking for something very enjoyable to do!!! A great big thanks to EMILY!!! My family had looked forward to this tour as one of the highlights of our visit to the US and one of the few things that children and parents alike could enjoy. We were sadly disappointed. The tour was amateurish. The promised video, linking the sites we were shown with the scenes from films and TV, was not working until the second half of the tour. By that time, the video was simply shown between sightings of other locations and had no impact or value whatsoever. In addition, the bus was not air conditioned as promised. We were provided with a replacement bus for the second half but the transfer between the buses resulted in unpleasantness as tourists scrambled for 'best seats' different from those they had in the first half. Finally, the Huxtable house which we looking forward to seeing was inaccesible due to construction work being conducted outside. It was pathetic to hear from our guide that she hoped four remaining tourists did not turn up because the tour was overbooked! It was equally pathetic to hear her constant suggestions to the group that we should be more positive when faced with adversity. She knew her material but glossed over obvious inadequacies of the tour, and the company's responsibiity, with essentially a motivational spiel and a smile. Excuses that the company does not own the buses and that the guide just turns up and is not responsible for the video or the bus were completely amateurish. Professionals would ensure the equipment is in place and operating and the service is delivered as promised. Regardless of the company's contracting out arrangments, it promises a service and on this occassion simply failed to deliver at all.

Brian was fantastic and made the tour very entertaining. Something for everyone from Gossip Girl to Breakfast at Tiffanys.

Learned lots of information about New York along with seeing numerous sites included in movies and television scenes. The tour guide provided inside information about some of our favorite shows and movies. I would recommend this tour to others!
