Perfect for the first day in NYC

This is a great thing to do when you first get to NYC...you go to places you wouldn't normally get to in a 4 day trip... you can go back if you want to , but no way could you get to SOHo, Midtown, the Village, West, etc all by yourself.... it was good for the everyone to see all the major sites... and then see if we needed to go back to anything. got a lot done in 3 hours... I went on the tour back in July-- it was great for me because we went to different spots (back in JUly we went north-- along Central Park...to the shop where We've got Mail is filmed...that was not nearly as cool as this tour)

Great Fun for us all

My daughters aged 13 & 25 were with me and we all enjoyed the tour - most especially the references to TV programmes and films they have seen which were many more in number than me! I thought the guide was excellent and coped with a 'smaller than normal' group of us very well. It was also a very relaxing way to see parts of New York we hadn't seen on the open top tour bus loops which we had done the previous two days. New York is very hard on the feet so getting into the areas without using our feet too much was a relief!! Enyoyed the Cosby biscuit and being taken to Twice as Rice! Overall highly recommend

I had so much fun!

I really liked the tour. The person you had hosting it was energetic and entertaining. She seemed to know what she was talking about and enjoyed doing so. I think that she highlighted the tour. I liked that we focused on what is popular now. I was suprised that it was so up to date. My favorite thing we visited was the Friends apartments. I have already told people to take the tour, and I have only been back 2 days! If I could change 2 things about the tour, it would be an open top tour bus. It would make taking pictures easier, and the other thing would be for you to provide a list of what they show us, so we can remember what is on our pictures.... Other than that it was one of my favorite things I did in NYC!

Great way to see the sights you see on TV & movies

The tour guide was great. She was very enthusiastic and informative and really knew the movie and TV industry in NY. Great personality to be a tour guide. Got to see a lot of neighborhoods that we hadn't seen by walking. A lot of fun trivia questions that she got lots of people to participate in. Went to a lot of places we all know by sight - Friends apartment building, Cosby house, etc. Was great to see these places in person after seeing them on TV all those years. Lots of interesting info like looking for the movie permits on telephone poles to see what is being filmed, why they choose certain locations to film, camera angles, what was currently being filmed, etc. Only negative is they go to a lot of sights related to Spiderman and Hitch. If you hadn't seen those 2 movies the tour wasn't as interesting. I had seen hitch but still didn't know some of the sights. She talked about where different celebrities lived but would have liked more info on the celebrities themselves that act in these shows - the hot places to shop, restaurants, how much some of these apartments cost to purchase, etc.

This is a very good tour. The tour guide is great, very energetic with lots of facts and fun. It is a set out well with lots of interaction, good stops, lots of infomration and with trivia questions. very well reccommended as it makes what you see on TV and in movies become real.

We enjoyed the tour. The guide, Roseanne (or something like that) was chock full of information. She talked so fast, my southern ears could barely keep up. I can only imagine foreign guests trying to understand, but that's OK. It was interesting. I guess I was under the impression that we would see some actual sets where shows have been filmed. The promo led me to believe that we would see something from Friends and Seinfeld. All we saw was the outside of a building. We couldn't see Soup Nazi. I was unaware that Friends was not filmed in NY. All in all, I recommend the tour, particularly to get an overall look at urban scenes from lower Manhattan.

Our guide was a very enthusiastic actor who lives in NY and was raised there. She had an incredible knowledge of New York locations. She sang a little bit and her energy level stayed high for the whole trip. I have been to NY many times, but enjoyed seeing parts of Greenwich Village I had never seen. My 12 year old daughter enjoyed the tour as much as I did. My suggestions -- do not drink much water or coffee before the tour. I have an aversion to bus toilets, so I had to wait until we were more than two hours into the tour to use a restroom. Make sure you are familiar with Friends and Spiderman before you take this tour because there are lots of references.

Great tour- it was fun seeing places that you see in so many TV shows or movies. Also adding to the enjoyment was a great tour guide (Roseanne), who was very enthusiastic and full of fascinating little stories about the sites and the city as a whole. I would definitely recommend this tour!
