I brought my daughter to New York for her 21st birthday. We went on the Manhatten TV/Movie Tour on September 23rd. Our tour guide was fabulous - so knowledgable and fun. The points of interest were great - better and more than we expected. And then to throw in actual television or movie scenes of some of the sites via video on the tour bus was icing on the cake. So easy - just three hours - and highly recommended! |

Hello!
The tour was great, but 2 things not. Our Tour guide spoke very fasr and with a lot of slang. for people which english is not the motherlanguage is very difficult to follow the guide. And the ghostbusters house which is shown on the describtion in the internet tour guide was not shown on the tour. |

We really enjoyed seeing the movie clips featuring the locations we were passing. The black and white cookies were a nice treat. The tour guide was knowledgeable, fun, and very enthusiastic. She recommended some sites that the tour didn't stop at, and we went back to those afterwards - her suggestions were great! We personally would have liked to have seen a few more Seinfeld locations, but there was still a lot packed into the 3 hours and just enough stops to get off the bus and stretch our legs. A great value to see sites we probably wouldn't have found on our own! |

As the name of the tour suggests, this is a good tour if you are a film or TV buff. The guide was full of energy and informative. There are TVs on the bus and they show clips from shows at various points along the tour. There are also a couple of stops where you have the opportunity to get off the bus and take photos, such as at the building used for exterior shots of the house/brownstone from the Cosby Show, and the Friends' apartment. My sixteen year old daughter and I went on the tour and we a great time. |

My friend and I enjoyed our 3 hour of the movie and tv locations in Manhattan. It was helpful to see the video clips, however, we weren't clear on what movies we were seeing. Sometimes the guide told us the movie titles, but other times we were left to guess which movie the clip was showing. The TV show clips were more obvious.
Getting off of the bus at different locations was a welcome break. Many areas of the city were new to me and I enjoyed seeing places I had previously just read about.
My favorite was the stop in NoLita at Rice To Riches for rice pudding...yum!
The tour guide was very knowledgable and had a pleasant attitude. The trivia game was cute, and I even got one answer correct.
The only complaint I had was the bus itself. The window seat I had, the metal under the window rattled so loud and was annoying and distracting.
I would not recommend this for families with younger children because of the length of time this tour takes, but older kids who watch some of the TV shows or have seen the movies may find it interesting and fun. |

My husband and I took this tour on our first full day in New York City. The sites were great we got to see and hear about many of our favorite t.v and movie locations. Our guide (Brian) was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Beeing a New Yorker/actor himself he was able to inform us of things we would not have dreamed of, like the process of making movies in New York, how to know if a movie is beeing filmed in the city while y ou are there. We even got to see a commercial for Pepsi beeing shot!
My husband also felt that after the tour he had a way better understanding of the city, in terms of wher everything was, the different neighborhoods and areas of town. All in all this was an awsome tour, if only for the fact that we got to sit on the front stoop of the Huxtable residence. Again, I can not say enough about our guide, he was one of the best parts of the tour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves t.v. and movies, and wants to get to know the city better, in fact, I have already recommended it to a ll of my f riend and family. |

I was amazed by our guide Brian, not only was he extremely knowledgable, but enthusiastic! He answered all our questions and was so nice and funny too!
I LOVED when he would show us a locoation and then show it on the monitors, very clever idea. There was a scene in Angels in America in the Oak Room, perhaps you may what to add that to your genre. (Especially since I was in it)
Thanks again!

We really enjoyed the tour: the theme is restricted to movies but at the same time, it gives a pretty good tour of Manhattan main monuments and neighborhoods. The traffic can be a problem and we were a little scared at the beginning as a parade was happenning on 5th but we caught up on the time and didn't miss much in the end. We were happy to see that the number of sights to see wasn't cut just to get back on time to our departure stop. We came back 10 minutes late on schedule but saw everything :) The number of stops could be slightly bigger, it would not hurt, especially on sunnny days. Brian our tour guide was so funny and sweet! The surprises on the tour were greatly appreciated!!! I also liked the fact that there was a TV in the bus and we could see the movie scenes of what the guide was showing us outside. Bravo to Brian, his performance was a real actor's one and put us in the mood! |
