Fun Tour

This tour was a fun way to introduce at least parts of NY to my sixteen-year-old daughter. She enjoyed seeing sites in NY familiar to her from TV and movies, seeing the clips on the overhead screen and stopping at a few of the sites. Additionally, she liked the guide and his jokes. We also had bonus excursions when the new driver (his first day no less) missed a couple of turns, and we had to go around a few blocks to get back on track - particularly loved navigating one narrow street full of construction near the Flat Iron Building (I write this with no sarcasm intended - it really added some unanticipated interest to the tour). Loved the rice pudding - I'd definitely recommend this tour to parents traveling with teenagers.

We all thought this tour was very enjoyable and informative. Our guide Kimberley was excellent .She gave us so much information and had a good sense of humour. We especially loved it when we could get out of the coach 2 take pictures. We would definately recommend this tour to anyone. Next time we are in New York ( will have 2 start saving !!) we would love to go on this tour again..

I thought that the tour was great. We all had a great time. The tour guide kept us entertained most of the time. We saw more than what we originally thought we were going to see. It was worth it to go on the tour, our family and friends love the pics. The bottom line is that the tour is worth it and it comes highly recommended.

We certainly appreciated the air conditioned bus this past Saturday (the heat index was 105 degrees). Brian Taylor, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the movie and tv trivia world. He was engaging and enthusiastic and the 3.5 hour trip went by quickly. It was also a bonus to visit parts of New York City that I have never seen. People of all ages seemed to enjoy the trip in spite of the heat wave. I would recommend this tour.

Although there were some snags in the beginning that got the tour started later than scheduled, the tour itself was very enjoyable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Both my son and I enjoyed visiting all of the sites and getting the inside scoop on some of the stars. I would recommend it to anyone who is a movie/TV buff.

Great for the older ones

The tour was really great fun but my 14 yr old daughter found that a lot of the films that were mentioned she had never even heard of! Going to the Cosby house was a waste of time because she had never heard of the Cosbys. It has not played in Ireland for many many years. The tour guide was great and enthusiastic and knowledgeable. However, i would try to refer to a mix of old and modern movies so that young and old alike can enjoy.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide Gary was both informative and entertaining. We had gone on the NYS shuttle party tour the day before to see the NYC sights but actually enjoyed this tour much more.

My family and I (son 19 and daughter 12) loved the tour, we had a great time. It was really interesting the whole time and our tour guide was fantastic. If you planning a trip to New York, you have do this tour on the first day, so that you can see where the stars live and where the movies take place. Then later after the tour you can go back to those location if you like and have some more fun.

The tour was booked on internet and the organisation was extremely smooth.Throughly enjoyed the tour so much information by a most enthusiastic tour guide. Liked getting off for a little walkabout and the fact that restrooms were included made this more relaxing!Tour was the right length of time meant we could go back and revisit a few places the same afternoon. Do think you have to be quite a movie buff to get the most from it.

Not worth it

The guide was energetic, but whenever I asked a question he did not know the answer. Most of the sights were unfamiliar to me and my family. The Friends Apartment house and The Cosby steps were great, but most of everything else was unfamiliar. I know there were many 1970's TV shows that took place in New York such as Taxi and The Odd Couple, and but the stops did not list such places nor was the guide familiar with the locations where they took place. The driver was a litle strange. I understand that they want to be entertaining, but there seemed to be more emphasis on the dirver stopping and running around the streets like a spy than actually showing us locations we wanted to see. I would recommend people to research where the Cosby steps, the Friends apartment ,and Ghostbuster firehouse are and save the money and time and go to those on their own. The scheduled stops were also much quicker and rushed more than the unscheduled stops for the driver to do his act. Also, we passed by a fountain that the guide stated was shown on the opening of Friends, After people took pictures of it, he later stated that that was not the same fountain, but the fountain seen on TV was representative of that fountain people wasted film on. He should have said that before people wasted a picture. The guide was Gary and the driver was Dave.
