I recently took the Manhattan TV and Movie Tour on a Friday morning. I was able to easily book the tickets on-line for myself, my husband and my daughter (a college student now living in NYC). It was a really fun time! We spent 3 hours riding around the city viewing TV/Movie locations such as exterior shots of the Huxtable house on The Cosby Show, scenes from Spiderman, Friends, Soup Nazi from Seinfeld and many more. The trip was highlighted with clips on the bus TV from these shows and movies. We even got to sample some delectable treats along the way! Three stops were provided on the tour for us to get off the bus, explore and have a photo op. Our tour guide was loaded with personality and knowledge about current gossip, which made the adventure even more fun. Toward the end of the tour, she engaged her passengers in a friendly game of trivia; correct answers were rewarded with a piece of candy. At the conclusion of the tour, all of us agreed that we had had a great time and even saw some new sites of the city that we had never seen. It's a great way to spend 3 hours, to see NYC and to see where your favorite TV shows and movies were shot. I highly recommend it! |

We enjoyed this tour very much. We got to see a lot of sites from T.V. and movies that we would have missed. This tour was really one of the highlights of our trip to New York.
Going to the actually places that you have seen on T.V. and in movies all your life was really a big thrill for us. Our tour guide was very good and really made the experience even more enjoyable.
I would recommend this tour for anyone young or old . |

Interesting, well-informed guide but over-long.

On the plus side our Guide was entertaining and well-informed and her comments were demonstrated by clips from movies. On the negative side our attention began to wane after the second hour. I would have preferred a more current, international movie focus than Sex in the City/ Cosby Show /Friends (and Ghostbusters is pretty old!).
Overall recommended but may not be so well received by children. |

This is a great tour if it is your first time in New York - I would recommend doing it on your first or second day, so you can venture back to the spots if you want to spend more time there. |

As a group of six girls on a girlie weekend, we were really looking forward to doing a sightseeing tour. Three in the group had visited NY before and for the other three it was their first time. So we wanted a tour that was fun and showed off the city. This was neither. Not only did we not cover that much ground (despite it being a 3 hr tour) but our guide 'Missy' was an 'aspiring' actress who never failed to link a story about her a) self b) apartment c) friends d) family e) job. I guess if you like Seinfeld (none of us watched it) or you liked the movie Spiderman you would have learned a few things...also if you were familiar with some older US sitcoms you might have enjoyed it better. The best thing about this tour is the pick up point - across the road from Stardust Diner - now that's definitely worth going to - the waiters and waitresses take it in turn to sing which is fun!
So, not worth the $30 I'm afraid - although with that said with a different tour guide the information may have been better. They need to update their movie knowledge and trivia. |

The tour guide could have been a little less talkative about her own personal experiences. I felt like I was getting an autobiography of her life story than information on different sites; however, she was very knowledgeable. Also there were some technical difficulties on the bus. Even still, it was definitely a highlight of my trip. |

We were 3 generations - youngest 18 years and oldest 71 years. We all enjoyed this tour. Our guide was wonderful and lots of fun. We liked seeing the apartment building where the different stars lived. We enjoyed seeing where tv shots were filmed. The 3 hours went by very quickly for all of us. |
