New York TV and Movie Sites

The tour was great fun - seeing locations used in film and TV. Tour guide, Gary, was enthusiastic and informative and made the tour a great experience.

This tour exceeded my expectations and quickly became one of the most memorable experiences I've had in New York City, this being my 3rd trip. The tour is multi faceted with each facet innovative and run smoothly. Meeting the tour guide at the meeting location was easy to find in the Theater District down the road from Times Square. Detailed directions and a map are included with your ticket. The former Broadway actress turned NYC tour guide was well organized with a list of all attendees, I simply said my name and presented my e-ticket (ordered from Zerve's website). We embarked on a comfortable air conditioned coach that led us to 60 locations featured in famed movies & television shows from all eras. A side note the coach does have a spotless bathroom onboard.The tour guide was very approachable and informative sharing many notes on the movies including bloopers, little known facts and also production terminology as it relates to filming. In addition to the locations that the bus passes by there are a handful of stops where we got out to see locations on foot. This included two stops that were prolonged ones seeing a set of locations which provided a great break from the bus. At these stops the tour guide offers to take group photography, now that I've seen the pictures, they attest to fine photography skill. With the additions of showing actual clips of the movies & TV shows on the monitors in the bus just prior or after visiting the location was a real treat. This made the bridge between reality and Hollywood all that more real. The onboard singing and contests rewarded by prizes and the fun of it all added yet another dimension. As the tour progressed throughout many Manhattan districts and neighbourhoods the guide informed the group of many aspects of New York's culture and how the movie industry affects these districts. At the conclusion of the tour I greatly thanked the guide and gave her a well deserving generous tip. Most importantly I had learned much more about movie, television and New York City as a whole. All this is a fun filled afternoon I strongly recommend. Also a note the office staff are also equally friendly and informative as I had questions about certain parts of the tour for health reasons. On a future trip to NYC I plan to take their Central Park TV & Movie Tour enabling me to further explore the famed park with their knowledge and the filming slant. Improvements to the tour would be visiting the Seinfeld restaurant. It would also be great to see On Location expand to other boroughs of NYC or genre tours. Perhaps have a tour that includes lunch or dinner at one of the featured dining locations. I wish On Location Tours nothing but the best! Cheers from Ontario, Canada.

This was a really thorough fun-packed tour of all different sites throughout Manhattan. It had a great combination of time in the bus and opportunities to get out of the bus, stretch your legs, and see some of the sites more clos-up and personal. The guide was fun and knowledgeable. It was definitely worth the cost.

Recommended for all Movie and Series Fan´s!! Nice Tour-Guide and Locations!! Bus with Airconditon and Restroom! Must have for all New York Visitors!!! Thanks....

Our tour guide was Roseanne Almanzar and she was very professional from the very start to us and to all the people on the tour. The coach was clean, air conditioned and had a toilet on board. The information and the delivery from our host was excellent, she was a New Yorker and it showed and her knowledge was vast. We had to take a couple of detours because of blocked roads, and still Roseanne new all the sites to point out of interest. We are returning to New York in 2008 with the complete family, and this will be the first tour I book, so my two teenage daughters and wife can experience the tour which my son and I did on this occasion. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

needs to be slower with more movie clips to describe better. It will be better if more site walks are introduced with the pertaining clips played before the site walk.

My 16 year old daughter and her friend absolutely loved the entire time we were on the tour. Highly recommended. Great tour guide, great bus, not one of those open at the top ones. we had a blast!

I had a great time on the trip - highly recommended.

The tour i think only had one slight chink in it and that was that the windows we were by were marked thus effecting the numerous picture opportunities there were but other than this everything was brilliant!!! The host and driver added there own humour to the tour and were fantastic. As well as this you also take in many famous sites and the host even points out things you may not of noticed or seen which is great!! There is some walking involved which was excellent as lets you get up close and personal to some of the attractions and the host was more than willing to take pictures of the people on the tour in front of there favourite things such as the Friends apartments etc.... which was a nice and welcomed touch. So overall I recommend this tour to anyone as it caters for all ages and people. I would defiantely go on it again as who knows what other sites it will include in the future as New York is used for filming ALOT!!!

Heavy on newer movies and shows. Perhaps some of the classics, such as "Lost Weekend" at P.J.Clarke's could be included.
