New York TV and Movie Sites

Overall, i'd give the tour 6 out of a possible ten. Our leader was terrif', however, too much time was spent on Sex & the City and many lesser known films/TV. I'm well aware that over the last 60 years, a multitude of films have been made in NYC. You folks seem to concentrate on the last 10 years. Seems Universal Studios has done the same thing. A shame, as many of us believe the 40s thru 60s gave us our most memorable and professional films. Also, perhaps another tour could be established which could cover the Northern area of Manhattan. A lot of folks were specifically asking about locations for You've Got Mail.

I went on the same trip 4 years ago - I think it was better then. The guide this time was were nice, and knew a lot - but it was a bit confusing for us, not americans, he did not show the clips of the movie before long time after we had been to a location, so it was not so easy to locate all the funny things he told us about. The girl we had last time, showed us more - and at the right time. But still - it was a okay trip, and again our guide jnew a lot, and was a nice person.

I did enjoy the tour. Not only did it talk about t.v. and movies, but it also took you through New York which helped everyone get acquainted with the city more. Our tour guide, Gary was also very energetic and informative. One thing though. While we were at the house used for the filming of the Cosby show, he mentioned that Jerry Seinfeld had been on the show. I don't remember that and can't find any information regarding that. I'm a t.v. fanatic and would hate for wrong information to be told. If you could confirm that information and let me know too, that would be great also. Lol. A great tour though. I would recommend it to others for sure.

Wir haben die Tour auf englisch gemacht - dafür muss man schon recht gut englisch verstehen können, da es sonst sehr schwierig ist dem sehr schnell sprechenden Guide folgen zu können. Es werden sehr viele interessante Schauplätze gezeigt - die meißten allerdings nur im Vorbeifahren und da man in einem geschlossenen und getönten Bus sitzt kann man diese leider nicht festhalten. Abschließend gibt es zu sagen, dass man sich folgende Filme unbedingt vorher anschauen sollte, da sehr viele Plätze davon zu sehen sind: Enchated, I`m legend, 27 dresses, Hitch, the date doctor und Spiderman.

I was going to be in NY for one day only. I wanted to see as much of NY as possible in one day, so i thought of a tour. It was a great idea. This tour was entertaining, interesting and just a great way to learn about and enjoy the city. I highly recommend the tour for first time visitors especially.

I enjoyed seeing the multiple sites in Manhattan featured in the tour, the movie clips on the video screens on the bus were a great addition to appreciating how each of the sites appeared in each movie/tv show

We are glad we did the tour, because we never would have noticed or seen what we saw from the bus in that short of time. Our guide was great and even did a 15 minutes stop at an authentic NY pizza joint -- it was delicious, and one of the highlites of the tour (others being spots from Friends and Enchanted). Having NYC pizza was on our list and we got to check it off on the tour too.

we went on a tour led by brian. we have traveled extensively and gone on many tours. this tour was GREAT! brian is a native new yorker and actor. These qualities showed in the tour. he was very familiar with the city, shared antedotes through out the tour, as well as keeping up with all the sites as we passed them. he was enthusiatic, energenic, intelligent and personable. in my opinion a guide will make or break a tour. if this is the level of personal hired by this company i would take any tour offered by them. we also enjoyed the tour itself. we saw so many sites that looking at the broucheure later i had actually forgotten that i saw some of them. the tour lasted as long as promised and was packed with information. i would like to mention the driver, john. we were in a BIG bus. he manuvered that bus expertly throughout the narrow, often one way, streets of new york city! there was a street festival going on that day and john and brian did not miss a beat. i know we had to avoid the festival, but it was done professionally and quietly. john also parallel parked!!! not once, but twice!!! very impressive!!! i highly recommend this tour!

I have taken the SATC tour with On Location and loved it so much, I decided to switch things up and take this one for my annual trip to NYC. And was very pleased. Our guide, Kymberly, was so fun and really gave good dish on tv and movie info. I have recommended these tours and hope that my friends take my advice and take these tours when they go to NYC. Going through NYC is always fun, but if you are a sucker for tv and movies, like me, On Location tours is well worth the money. You get a chance to put places with movies and it makes it more special,the next time you see them on a screen.
