Good tour of Mid-town & Downtown for TV & Movies

Anna was a very knowledgeable tour guide with lots of character. Great bus tour of mid-town and downtown Manhattan - covers much of the same territory as the circle bus tours, but with different emphasis. Focus was on most recent TV and movies with some mention of very popular older shows. More information or reference to older shows (for us middle aged folks) would have been nice. The half hour stop in SOHO was not neccesary. The Friends house stop was the best part of the tour.

Our tour guide was wonderful.. Very upbeat and enthusiastic.. She knew all of the facts about everywhere we went and fielded questions with ease. She was fun, funny and charming.. We would definitely do this trip again and will certainly recommend this tour to friends that plan to come to NYC in September.

A Tour, not only for TV or movie enthusiasts.

My friends and I have been to NY several times and we were looking for something new to do in the city to celebrate my birthday. I found this tour online and got really curious. Though I am not really a TV or movie regular, I got interested after seeing the video on the website. The tour was made more interesting because of the film clips that were shown during the tour. Roseanne, our tour guide, was full of energy and very knowledgeable of the different sites and shows that we went to. The trivia questions in the bus also made it more interesting for everyone. And the tour covered a lot of areas in NY City from downtown to uptown for 3.5hrs. So whether one is a TV or movie enthusiast or not, this is for everyone! A must-see when in NY, for families and/or friends. Great job everyone!

Amazing Tour and Excellent Tour Guide

This tour gives you a great view of NYC. We were only in NY for 3 nights, so this 3 1/2 hour tour allowed us to see many of the sights that we would not have had time to look for. Roseanne was amazing. She was our tour guide and she was phenominal. It is great because the bus has AC and you do stop 3 or 4 times and you do have some time at one of the spots to go and explore for a bit. It was extremely hot when we were there, so the short stops were great. then back in the AC bus. We weren't sure about the TV/movie clips at first. We thought, that perhaps the entire tour was going to be on the TV screen, but it was quite the contrary. I would definitely recommend paying the $9 extra in order to get priority seating (guaranteed to be in the first 4 rows). I would not do it any other way. I could not imagine being at the back of the bus. All of the tour guides are in the industry and they are not University summer students. This is definitately a must if you are visiting NYC.

I really loved everything about this tour. First, I was able to book it at the last minute on my iPhone, and there was no hassle factor. We didn't have to wait in the sun, etc., our tour guide (Andy) just said we could board, and he'd take our tickets a bit later. (I applaud his good sense in not making everyone stand like cattle in a hot line.) I also thought the price was very reasonable. Andy was a great and informative tour guide! Great stories and trivia. Also enjoyed the black & white cookies he handed out The bus was plush, air-conditioned, and had multiple screens on which they showed clips from movies and shows. The driver did a great job, and it didn't even matter that we got held up in NYC traffic a few times. No on cared at all. I was thankful for the frequent stops to stretch our legs and take a closer look at some of the locations.. I was also thankful that we could take drinks and snacks on the bus. I appreciate being treated nicely, which was my impression with everything we did in NYC! Very well done -- I've already told MANY people about it, and posted it on Facebook and Instagram. Keep up the good work!

Great start, but disappointing ending

First of all, the price is quite high. But when I noticed that the tour would take 3.5 hours, I felt, it may be worth it. And at the beginning it was certainly. Te tour guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable when we took turns in Midtown. As we came to SoHo, the bus stopped for 30 minutes and we were asked to take a look around for ourselves. Why? This was not what I paid for! I can walk around NYC by myself... Back in the bus, we continued the tour and got off again in the Banking District. However, this time accompanied by the tour guide who gave us more references to movies, which was - again - interesting. There were two more stops for only one building each, when all got off the bus to take pictures. Taking pictures was okay, of course, but I felt we wasted a lot of time. And the last bit of the tour was without comments, so that was particularly disappointing. The guide gave out Spiderman goodies, which was nice for fans, but it seemed that the organizers received money for the promotion of the movie, so I felt, if they get money from them, they could make the fare a bit cheaper. Over all, I must say that the beginning of the tour went very well. I learned something and saw NYC from a new angle that made me happy. On the other hand, the tour seemed to lack a coherent concept to span across the whole 3.5. hours. Much more sites could have been visited if there had been fewer instances where we got off the bus. And the tours on foot could have been organized much better. If you feel ripped-off easily: DO NOT take this tour!!
