I wanted to go on this tour to see locations from shows like Seinfeld, Friends etc. Instead I mostly got locations from movies I have never seen, and some I have never even heard of. 50% were from the movie Hitch, which I didn't see and didn't associate with New York. Some of the more interesting locations we zoomed by on the bus but not long enough to get a picture.
The few times we were off the bus, the tour guide would start walking and talking without waiting for the whole group. My husband and I were sitting near the back so we were always the last ones off. We would have to run to keep up with the group, sometimes being more than a block away from them if the lights turned red. We couldn't hear what our guide was saying half the time either.
A big disappointment and a waste of 2.5 hours. I would recommend doing a little research on your own about locations you want to see and just take the subway there. |

This tour is not suitable for international visitors as it mostly referred to US TV. Also the bus was ancient with water leaking onto the seats, the monitors would not work and when they did the clips of tv/film were very poor. After the first half hour we were so bored we got off the tour at the first available opportunity. |

There were four of us that went on the tour: 2 from the US and 2 from Belgium. I absolutely loved the tour and have already recommended it. Our guide was fabulous. She did a terrific job! The bus was comfortable. The 11am start time and meeting place was convenientent. I have no compliants. Our guide said they change the tour and I'd like to go again. A+ |

I enjoyed this tour and our guide (Gary) was clearly very knowledgeable about New York and had an engaging personality. I did find the locations a bit Seinfeld- and Ghostbusters-heavy, but generally we saw a lot of locations and I particularly appreciated the chance to see the Friends building and the Cosby show steps, and to have photos taken at both.
I could have done without the stop at Rice to Riches (rice pudding - yech!) and there was a little more walking than I would have liked, especially as at this stop there weren't any sites of major interest. (I'm not just lazy; I have a muscle problem in my feet and could have done with a little less walking!)
I enjoyed the questions (and appreciated the mini chocolate bar I won!) and thought the movie clips were a great way to fill in time between locations. Overall, this was an interesting and entertaining tour that showed a lot of New York and would appeal to a wide range of interests, but a bit more bus time and a bit less Seinfeld would have made it even better. |

This was a great tour of the city, we saw various locations in the city from the warm comfort of a tour bus and after we saw the locations we saw little clips of the movies. It was lots of fun and was a nice way to spend time in the city without having to walk around. The only complaint I have was that there wasn't a stop for real food. I'm not a sweets person so I was looking for more than a black and white cookie and some rice pudding. Other than that...I would highly recommend the tour! |

Recommend the tour even for those returning to NYC |

I've been to NYC several times but I've never taken this tour. I highly recommend it. It was a lot of fun. I got to see areas of the city/streets I've never been to before. The bus was a nice, warm place to be on a cool day. I enjoyed the film clips they showed on the bus as we passed the locations where they were filmed. |

It's rare that you draw a native New York tour guide who is well informed, enthusiastic and a very kind person. Brian embodies all three qualities, and had a great sense of humor, as well. This tour is highly recommended for anyone who is a film or TV fan. My only recommendation is that the clips be a bit longer and more focused on "great moments" in the series or film, rather than on just showcasing the architecture. Kudos to the company for including bios of their tour guides in their literature -- this is a nice touch, since many of them are working actors and actresses. Sincerely yours, Erica Levy Klein |
