| Talked way too much about "Hitch". It wasn't a great movie and it wasn't even a huge hit. Other than that, it was a nice tour. |

| This tour was really fun. We found out about it by taking the Sex and the City Tour previously. The tour is a great way to see the city and all of the smaller areas you wouldnt normally venture to. For a hot day, it gave a nice tour while being inside an air-conditioned bus. The only negative part was the variety of movies and tv shows covered. Despite watching a lot of TV and movies, we didnt know many of the movies discussed. It was a fun tour though regardless. |

| As New York is the main location for many popular films and tv shows, I was really looking forward to this tour. I was expecting to see many places of interest from modern global tv and film hits, such as Friends, Sex and the City, Ugly Betty, Devil Wears Prada etc, with a few oldies thrown in for good measure. However, this wasn't the case on the tour that I attended.
The tour started off well with some references to Superman and Ghostbusters, but then seemed to concentrate on lesser known films and tv shows that are popular in the States but not so abroad. No mention was made to You've Got Mail, Maid in Manhattan etc, and instead we heard about references to Kate and Leopold and Serendipity, and then really old films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Arthur and Crocodile Dundee, and shows such as Gilligan’s Island and The Cosby Show.
In fairness there were some sites that referred to Spiderman, Friends and Will and Grace, however as the tour was 3 1/2 hours long, places of recognition for me were few and far between.
I don't know whether places were missed out because they are included in the other tours available such as Central Park sites and Sex and the City, but I was really disappointed that most of the tour went over my head.
On the plus side, the guide Emily was fantastic - really knowledgeable and enigmatic and whilst I didn't know about many of the things she was speaking about, she did manage to hold my attention.
In summary, I don't feel that this tour offered value for money for me. Most of the locations that meant anything to me were based in the Central Park/5th Avenue area and Greenwich Village, and I could have probably walked the streets and found them myself. I think the locations need updating to be of interest to a younger audience, and perhaps the tour needs to be cut down to 2 1/2 hours.

| We recently went on the Manhattan TV & Movie Sites Tour and had a great time. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and friendly and made the tour very enjoyable. She showed us around Manhattan on a very comfortable air conditioned coach and pointed out a whole bunch of interesting tv and movie locations. She was very knowledgable, not only about TV, movies and their locations but also about other aspects of the city which was fun to learn about.
The tour included video clips of the movie locations that we had been to see which was great and there were plenty of opportunities to get off the coach and walk around to see different sites.
A highly enjoyable 3+ hours, would definatley recommend for any age group! |

| This tour exceeded my expectations and quickly became one of the most memorable experiences I've had in New York City, this being my 3rd trip. The tour is multi faceted with each facet innovative and run smoothly. Meeting the tour guide at the meeting location was easy to find in the Theater District down the road from Times Square. Detailed directions and a map are included with your ticket. The former Broadway actress turned NYC tour guide was well organized with a list of all attendees, I simply said my name and presented my e-ticket (ordered from Zerve's website).
We embarked on a comfortable air conditioned coach that led us to 60 locations featured in famed movies & television shows from all eras. A side note the coach does have a spotless bathroom onboard. The tour guide was very approachable and informative sharing many notes on the movies including bloopers, little known facts and also production terminology as it relates to filming. In addition to the locations that the bus passes by there are a handful of stops where we got out to see locations on foot. This included two stops that were prolonged ones seeing a set of locations which provided a great break from the bus. At these stops the tour guide offers to take group photography, now that I've seen the pictures, they attest to fine photography skill.
With the additions of showing actual clips of the movies & TV shows on the monitors in the bus just prior or after visiting the location was a real treat. This made the bridge between reality and Hollywood all that more real. The onboard singing and contests rewarded by prizes and the fun of it all added yet another dimension. As the tour progressed throughout many Manhattan districts and neighbourhoods the guide informed the group of many aspects of New York's culture and how the movie industry affects these districts.
At the conclusion of the tour I greatly thanked the guide and gave her a well deserving generous tip. Most importantly I had learned much more about movie, television and New York City as a whole. All this is a fun filled afternoon I strongly recommend. Also a note the office staff are also equally friendly and informative as I had questions about certain parts of the tour for health reasons. On a future trip to NYC I plan to take their Central Park TV & Movie Tour enabling me to further explore the famed park with their knowledge and the filming slant. Improvements to the tour would be visiting the Seinfeld restaurant. It would also be great to see On Location expand to other boroughs of NYC or genre tours. Perhaps have a tour that includes lunch or dinner at one of the featured dining locations. I wish On Location Tours nothing but the best!
Cheers from Ontario, Canada. |

| This tour was OK. It shows a lot of places from older movies and some new movies that I had never seen. The tour goes by a lot of places very quickly and my husband and I had trouble taking pictures. For example, we went by the ghostbusters firehouse so quickly we couldn't even get a picture of it. We had to go back later by ourselves to see it. Also, the website says it shows locations from Rescue Me. The tour guide never even mentioned it. We went on the Sex and the City tour the day before and there was no comparison. The Sex and the City tour would stop the bus in the middle of traffic so everyone could see the sites and have time to take pictures. This tour is good foor serious movie and TV lovers who are familiar with a lot of older movies and TV shows. |

| Our Tour guide (Roseanne Almanzar) was very intersting and knew a lot about the area, obviously because she was a true New Yorker. The tour went more in depth then i thought it would, describing how life was like for Roseanne growing up in a big city, and also what rent control was like and how things in the city had changed over the years. Those types of conversation were excellant fillers if the traffic was busy. I thought showing the clips on the tour bus was also an excellant idea, as you were seeing, what the tour guide was pointing out. I would defo tell my friends about this tour, because this tour takes you around all the different districts in New York, aswell as the tour guide providing interesting facts of each area too. I got to see a lot of New York, which i wouldn't have got to see if it wasn't for this tour.
p.s. Great Job Roseanne, you were excellant.

| This was a really thorough fun-packed tour of all different sites throughout Manhattan. It had a great combination of time in the bus and opportunities to get out of the bus, stretch your legs, and see some of the sites more clos-up and personal. The guide was fun and knowledgeable. It was definitely worth the cost. |

| Roseanne did a fantastic job. She was animated, charismatic and definitely knowledgeable about her hometown. I could tell she loved the film industry and the "Hollywood" side of NYC. We will cherish our memories and photos we got on this tour forever! Plus I don't think I would have ever thought to get a black and white cookie! Good job!!!
I have a question I hope to get a response to. Where is the restaurant/diner used in Seinfeld? We asked when we were getting off the bus and we thought Roseanne told us 121st and Broadway. We went there, which was either part of Harlem or almost Harlem and couldn't find it anywhere. Did we hear wrong?
Thanks for the wonderful memories to take home with us! |
