On Location Tours

We were in NYC during the blackout and our tour for Friday was cancelled. The tour Company actually called us in our hotel and gave us the option of rescheduling or a refund. I thought that was great. Of course we still wanted to do the tour. It was a great, very comfy way to see the city. It was nice that although it was a TV/movie tour we also got misc city info and trivia. Kimberly did a great job. I highly recommend this tour!

Thought it was lots of fun. Cupcakes were fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, not only seeing where the "celebrities" live, but seeing other neighborhoods in the city. It opened our eyes to the fact that NYC is more than Times Square.

i really enjoyed this activity. i would recommend it to anyone. the only thing i thought could be different was the specific people who live where. on our tour a lot of people and places where pointed out after we had already passed them. that made it difficult to see it or take any pictures.

I highly recommend this tour. The celebrity aspect seems like a bonus given the comfortable tour through some very interesting neighborhoods. Our tour guide was knowledgable and entertaining and the tour was well worth the cost.

I saw some interesting points of interest. It would have been nice to get off the bus some more and see some more things that were actually based in NYC rather than just shots and everything else is in LA. The tour guide was very nice, and make some jokes along the ride and did a trivia game for lolipops which was fun and nice. And the bus driver was safe. It took about the time they said 2-2 1/2 hours.

it was a wonderful way to see some of the neighborhoods of the city as well as learn something along the way. i would heartily recommend it.

Well, I never thought I'd take a tour of the New Jersey Meadowlands, but it was a lot of fun!

It was nice. The canoles were good and it's nice they let people tour the Bada Bing. One thing -- some webpage says there are bathrooms on the bus, but when we went, there wasn't any toilet paper! Luckily there are several stops, so that didn't put any damper on the tour, and the canoles more than made up for that.

I think the tour was okay and fun but there are some suggestions as on how to make it even better or actually on how to make it feel a little more "real"...first of all you really need to be a huge fan to remember all the spots that you see during the tour...basically you have to have all the episodes memorized to be able to remember the one episode where "chris put an envelope in the mailbox" and to get something out of seeing that mailbox....Therefore we would recommend having a video including parts of the episodes where the spots you see on the tour are included. The video coul be shown on the bus while the guide is speaking. The biggest dissapointment was the first stop in New Jersey, the stop where we were able to meet "Vito" / Joe. That was such a pathetic and obvious attempt to make money off "stupid" tourists that it wasn't even funny. Having Vito sitting in a donutshop selling Sopranos and Sex in the City (!?!) merchandise is not what I call a nice meeting with Vito. The prices were high, joe did not seem to enjoy what he was doing and as a matter of fact seemed a little rude. All he said was the prices, "what do you want" and "pictures outside". And what the heck were the sex in the city merchandise there for? I dont know. We just got the feeling that the aim of the first stop was only to make money off the stupid tourists. I would recommend investing in making the tour as "real" and genuine as possible rather than having some actor not enjoying what hes doing selling his stuff with crazy prices..looking like he was forced to do it. The part where we all got to enjoy a canneloni was a great example of how to make it real...the visitors were being made as if they were a part of the sopranos-world. MOre of that kind of stuff!!!

I enjoyed the Sex and the City tour, however it did not include some of the items listed on the website. The Magnolia Bakery was closed and we never went to "Steve and Adian's" Bar. I also think that there should be an age requirement. On our tour a mother was there with her 2 young childeren (ages around 10 or so) and it made everything really uncomfortable. Also I do acknowlege that the tour that I went on was after the blackout (Saturday). I would love to see a tour of the Sex and the City nightlife. It would be great to go to various places and enjoy a drink at each. I would be willing to pay quite a bit in order to visit the places on the show. All in all I would reccomed the tour to die hard fans of the show.

I am barely familiar with the tv show, but I thoroughly enjoyed the tour guide. My daughter is a huge fan, and she loved it, too.

This was a realy entertaining and informative tour of New York - especially tailored for any fans of "Sex and the City". The guide made the tour really interesting, with details about the show and information on the main cast members as we were shown some of the main Manhattan locations used and given the opportunity for some serious shopping!

I thought that it was a good tour of the city. We started late because of bus confusion - and it was extremely hot waiting out on the sidewalk. Caitey and I thought of some things that would make it better. Include Barney's Department store - go into Tiffany's. Really stop for a cosmopolitan in Aidan and Steve's bar - promised but did not happen. More about actual filming, etc. My daughter is into film and would have liked to see a studio or a filming site. Considering we were there during filming season - that would have been cool! Overall it was okay. Denise and Caitey Andersen
