On Location Tours

Had a Great girls day in NY doing this tour.

Our guide was perky and VERY well informed. The pace was moving right along, but we stopped often enough that it was doable! It was great fun and I would recommend it!

Kudos to Guide Kymberly and On Location Tours for putting together a truly enjoyable walk through Central Park! What a lovely way to spend an autumn afternoon in New York City. As a movie enthusiast, I loved the scoop on where scenes were filmed, but even if you aren't familiar with the movies, it's still a great way to see some of the prettiest/most famous places in the Park. Kymberly made the tour really fun, her vast knowledge of movies was amazing, great job! I would definitely recommend this tour.

In NYC with my 16 year old daughter for her birthday and booked this tour as she is a big fan the Gossip Girl series. She loved every minute of it and even as a non Gossip Girl watcher I really enjoyed it too. We saw some areas of Manhatten which we probably wouldn't otherwise have seen and the tour guide (Kate) was so enthusiastic I couldn't help but get into the spirit of the tour too. Apparently it was 'the best birthday present ever!'. Would definitiely recommend.

The tour gave us new views to NYC, especially the Meatpacking District was very interesting. Our guide was very good informed and told us a lot about the SATC series. Thank You!

If you like "Sex and the City", you will love this tour. You can eat cupcakes and drink a Cosmos. And on top of that, you will get some "insider" information about the show. Our guide is German and she knows a lot. Thank you Christiane. We also had somebody on the tour, who did it three times already and I can assume why. I can only highly recommend this tour!

Thank you to Christiane. I had no knowledge about the TV series or the movies but the tour was very interesting and entertaining.

My favorite stop was the West Village, which is where SJP now lives! We had a bit to walk around. It was really cool to get a feel for a neighborhood I might not have otherwise seen. Lou was a great tour guide, too! She had lots of energy, even early on when the group was dragging. She got our spirits up in no time.

The whole trip was great. I have to go back to 'Scout'! The food looked amazing.

Let's start with the Movie/TV Tour... EXCITING!!! You go around Manhattan and see all the places and buildings that have been filmed in various movies. You're able to stop at a few locations to take pictures (Friends apt, Ghostbusters fire house, Cosby apt, etc...), and you even eat at the pizza place where Men in Black 2 was filmed! There is a main tour guide that explains what you are passing and they also offer DVD clips of the movies so you can see firsthand the locations in the movie/TV clips. Overall, the tour is fun if you keep up with movies and different TV shows. Be warned though... that the beginning and end of the tour are @ two different locations! You meet @ 51st & Broadway and they drop you off a couple of blocks away at the end. On to the NBC Studio Tour... It was so-so.... It's roughly a 1 hour tour. You meet in the Rockefeller Center and you watch a video, which takes up the first 15-20 minutes. You go to different studios, but the number of studios you get to visit is not guaranteed (we only went to 2: Jimmy Fallon & SNL). For the Jimmy Fallon set, we went in and sat in the audience seats. They give you history about the studio and you see the set but you don't actually go onto the set/stage and you can't take pictures. We went on a Friday so SNL was preparing for the Saturday night show. With our timing, we caught them when the cast was on their dinner break. We weren't able to go into the actual studio. We just saw through a clear wall what the construction crew was putting together. After, we went into a little studio room they put together specifically for the NBC Studio tour and 2 volunteers got to stand up in front of everyone and pretend they were doing a news cast with a green screen in the background. Honestly, I could have done without it, but it WAS a combo package so we had nothing to lose!

Great day out, got to see a lot of the city. Cup cakes were to die for. Our guide was really good fun, great to see the scenes of the show. One of our group hadn't seen Sex and the City and she enjoyed the tour. Its for anyone, good laugh.

This was a fantastic way to see New York and its importance to film both past and present. It was a great break for us as we'd been walking for hours every day. This allowed us to sit in comfort and learn and see lots. Getting on and off the bus was done at good intervals and the spots that we stopped all had extra special meaning....or great food. Our guide was enthusiastic and helpful.

My 13 year old son and I have been touring NYC a lot over the past few years. Having visited many of the traditional landmarks, I searched for something new and different to do. Since we both like TV and Movies, I thought this might be fun...and it was! Roseanne was our tour guide and she was enthusiatic as well as knowledgeable. The video clips applied to the places that we visited and we learned a lot. She was so nice about taking our picture at each location that we visited. The Ben's pizza was delicious and the black and white cookies were the perfect treat. I also enjoyed learning the locations of many celebrity apartments. I would recommend this tour to people of all ages.

Our tour director Matt as great. However I did not enjoy this trip as much as the Sex and the City Tour. Tour was too long, I was getting bored.
