On Location Tours

My friend and I both in our late 70's enjoyed being in a busload of 20 something fellow fans of the program.

I was not a fan of sex in the city not being a subscriber to HBO but I do own the DVD. However my adult dtr who took me was a devoted viewer and was estatice. The tour guide was terrific.

This is an excellent tour that exceeded our expectations. Our Guide was superb; we were pleasantly surprised by the cupcakes and later cosmopolitans. The time fled by. We would recommend this tour to any fan of the show.

The tour director was very knowledgable about the show and very enthusiatic. I did not mind the off color humor of the show but I did take exception when the tour director took the Lord's Prayer and turned it into something that was sleazy and uncalled for. I am sure she could find another way to make her point. When you ask people to bow their heads and then desicrate a model prayer that even the heathen among us have at least heard it spoiled the tour for me. I am sure you will not print this on the web but maybe you can think about another way of saying the same thing.

We were 3 generations - youngest 18 years and oldest 71 years. We all enjoyed this tour. Our guide was wonderful and lots of fun. We liked seeing the apartment building where the different stars lived. We enjoyed seeing where tv shots were filmed. The 3 hours went by very quickly for all of us.

Found the tour very entertaining with reservations about the Satin Dolls part. The tour guide Marc was excellent with his anecdotes about the show. All in all a great experience would recommend to other fans of the show.

My daughter and I visited New York for the first time. We are both fans of the show, so I wanted to surprise her with the tour. Our guide, Lou, made it an absolutely delightful experience. We got to see a lot of the Village! I would encourage anyone going to the city to include this in their list of "must do's". Thanks, Lou, it was a great time!

My granddaughter and I went on the Gossip Girl tour since she loves the program but even I who was not familiar with it truly enjoyed the tour. It was a lot of fun, very well planned and shows you the Upper East side of Manhattan and many other places. The tour guide Madeleine was excellent and very charming!!! we thouroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

It was a freezing cold, rainy day in NYC, and we gathered with trepidation at the appointed spot. I had been on the tour before, on a lovely warm September day, so I was worried that my guest would not see the tour at its best. Stacy, our tour guide, put my mind at rest from the get-go! Obviously, there were all nationalities on the bus, but her vibrant personality got rid of any minor inhibitions ( not that there were many - anyone who goes on something called "Sex and the City Hotspots" and expects a church-lady - friendly event is severely on the wrong tour!) and set us up for a great romp through the highlights and venues from the series and the movies - mainly the first one. If I could make just one suggestion, it would be that in any group there will be one or two members who are not as familiar with Sex and the City as we avid fans are, so as the tour starts, it would be helpful to have either a written precis or short verbal commentary about the four main characters, and Carrie's significant lovers, This would draw those individuals into the experience more, and prevent them from feeling that they are mere observers as their friends wallow in the deliciously decadent , shamelessly frivolous jaunt! Absolutely loved it!

Escort was late "due to time change" & impatient; also issues with microphone & DVD. As things were resolved, trip became more relaxed and informative.

What a fabulous way to spend a rainy day in New York City. I shared the SATC experience with my three sisters , my oldest daughter and her best friend. I purchased the tickets as Christmas Gifts. Lou, our guide was awesome and most entertaining. The three and a half hour tour was chock full of great information and stopovers at popular SATC hot spots. As the tour ended, the sun came out so it was a perfect finale to the day. Would highly recommend the tour. I think it would be great to have contests on board the bus to get everyone involved in the Q & A segments. Loved Magnolia Bakery and the Cosmo break at the bar that was supposedly Scout.

17 years ago I (Dad) was watching Friends with daughter Cherry (big fan - of Friends). I said we ought to go to New York Christmas shopping. Each year a box set was bought for Christmas and this became a tradition. Years went by. Strangely, Cherry never forgot! This year Dad got his act together and we sailed over in style on Queen Mary 2. Cherry found On Location Tours and we knew we were in for a treat. Our host Gary was very clear and we knew if we were late back on the coach at any drop off, he would sing to us - so we knew the rules!! We were always on time!!! We never thought we would see the fountain that was the inspiration for the opening theme each week. The coach rocked to us all singing the theme from Friends. Then our brilliant shopping expedition to New York was made complete by visiting the location for the Friends flat. Fantastic! To see this (and all the other great film scenes) on top of a fabulous cruise to New York, seeing the Knicks win at MSG in the last minute, our first bagels at Carnegie's, Top of the Rock, Empire State Building (but where were the airplanes and King Kong?)... the list went on. Gary was a terrific host - if you want to know about films in New York, he's the man. We didn't win any lollipops because you American film fans are too quick for us! Thanks to On Location Tours for helping us get to see so much of your great city and in such an entertaining way. When do you open in London? Was going to say cheers, but that's for your Boston tour!
