Excellent Tour Central Park Movie Sites

We all really enjoyed learning about the sites in Central Park where movies have been shot as well as learning some history about New York and Central Park. The tour guide was excellent. This is a must for anyone visiting New York.

The movie tour round central park was the best thing I could have booked for my first visit to the park.. the tour lasted 2 hours but to be honest it seemed to fly by!.. our tour guide was very infomative and knowledgeable and gave a great insight into the history of the park too and the surrounding buildings!. Even though this was a walking tour there were plenty stops, so it didn't feel like I had been on my feet at all. I had taken an umbrella to shelter from the sun but it poured with rain for most of the time..even so this didn't stop our tour guide from being really upbeat and a pleasure to listen too. a member of our family had to miss the tour due to illness...but when we eventually took them to the park...i was amazed at how much information I had retained..another sign of a good guide!! everything from the booking to the actual tour was very professional and I would certainly recommend this tour to everyone. When I visit New York or USA again I will certainly see what tours they have on offer.

i'm here in the city for a couple of months, and a friend came to visit for the weekend. i told her we could do any touristy thing she wanted, and she chose this tour. it's briliant, not only if you're a fan of the show, but also if you want a tour of the city that doesn't concentrate on the empire state or the statue of liberty. you get an insight into some trendycool places to wine, dine, club and shop while watching the clips from SATC where they featured. most of the tour-goers were young females like us, but anyone is welcome, as long as you don't mind the kind of language and sex-chat that made the show so popular!
Fun tour, great guide, sub-par bus Sopranos Sites

We found the tour to be great fun. The guide supplied wonderful "insider information" and thoroughly identified each location to the scenes filmed there and then followed-up with a film clip. He was interesting, informative and funny! Only one criticism: The bus was comfortable, but the bathroom was not stocked - even at the beginning of the tour. And we were seated towards the back of the bus, where the air conditioning had a distinct smell of exhaust, which probably contributed to a headache later in the day. Since I assume that the bus used varies from tour to tour, this should not prevent anyone from taking the tour - but it is a problem about which On Location Tours should be aware. Also, it should be noted that not only is a stop made at an adults-only location, but many of the video clips shown on the bus contain language that is inappropriate for children, so I would not recommend that your children accompany you on this tour. Anyone who is a fan of the show will greatly enjoy this tour. Just one helpful hint: brush up on your Sopranos knowledge/trivia as the guide likes to quiz the tourists - and it's more fun when people know the answers!

Although the tour guide was knowledgable, the tour itself was pretty boring. The tour guide couldn't keep the group engaged, the bus was stuffy, prizes cheap and corny... Just not what I expected. We both couldn't wait to get off that bus, if we saw a cab, we would have left. We both love the Sopranos but this was a waste of 5 hours out of our trip.

It was awesome. My dad and I had a wonderful time. The host was funny and very knowlegable. He had great insight having worked on the show himself. All of the stops were neat. The clips played along great with what we were seeing. We had tons of fun! It was really awesome:-) Thanks PS the cannoli rocked!!!!

A tour guide obviously makes or breaks something like a tv/movie locations tour, and Marc was beyond excellent. He brings a true insider's persprctive, and he was enthusiastic, upbeat, and charming throughout. Since this tou has been running for a time, this is no small feat. The tour itself is just the right length, and offers quite a selection of sites. The trivia contests are also a great idea.

Tour guide talks endlessly about tiny details about the show that are just too small and inconsequential to be of interest - far too many of the stops and land-marks are of little significance - after awhile you just tune out.

We had a fab time! The tour was sooo much more fun than I had expected it to be -- Liz was just HYSTERICAL and the driver was excellent. A very smooth ride considering we were weaving around the streets of Manhattan. It's definitely an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon with friends, thanks so much!

Stephanie, our tour guide, was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Aside from the Sex and the City trivia and locations, it was a great introduction to the island of Manhattan, and you got a great idea of how the different parts of the island differ. Stephanie was eager to offer general NY TV trivia as well (NYPD Blue is filmed in LA!) as well as restaurant and shopping advice. The bus was clean and air conditioned, and the clips shown for each location were very helpful. The cosmos were DELICIOUS, and an excellent way to wind down the tour. The cupcakes were definitely worth the lines you see wrapping around the bakery! The tour really didn't feel like three hours, because the combination of on- and off-bus struck the perfect balance.

I really enjoyed the tour-- lots of interesting background facts on the show as well as actually seeing spots of the city used on Sex and the City. The video clips that accompanied seeing the actual location helped to place what scene each location was used in. I would definitely recommend this tour!!

Thought the tour was really outstanding. Our guide did a fabulous job! It was very interesting seeing the city from the viewpoint of a major TV series. I would certainly recommend the tour to any of my friends.

The sex and the city tour was very fun with a very interesting tour guide who knew exactly what she was talking about. the magnolia cup cakes and video clips of the places we had been from the show were very nice touches. this tour really allows you to put a face to the show of sex and the city.
