Fun Tour! Sex and the City Hotspots

This tour is definitely for people who are fans of the show. Our guide, Emily, provided us with so many details (that we had forgotten) from various shows. It was fun to remember small incidents. We liked all the small TV clips too that were shown on the bus between stops. We don't really think we needed to stop for 20 minutes at the "Sex" shop, though. (I think it was called the Pleasure Chest). No one bought anything...we did like the stop at "Aiden and Steve's" bar with the drinks. All in all, I would recommend it. Lots of trivia and Emily did a fantastic job narrating. We could tell she was so enthusiastic. So...if you're fans of the show, you should do this. We enjoyed seeing so many spots where episides were filmed.

Thanks to a great tour director, Stephanie, the 3.5 hours were pure delight. Not only did we get the low-down on filmed locations, she also provided lots of city facts and recommendations for shopping and dining. Tour provided lots of opportunity to interact and laugh with other tour participants and chance to test your Sex-and-the-City knowledge. As a bonus, there were celebrity sitings we could go home and boast about!

The tour itself was extrtemely entertaining. Our tour guide was Mark. Of particular importance was the fact that we were able to meet Vito before leaving on the tour and get an autographed picture and private pictures too. What a wonderful afternoon.

This was a great tour -- very informative and full of interesting facts about the actors. Our tour guide, Marc Baron, was unbelievable! He made the tour very exciting! I would take it again.

THIS TOUR WAS GREAT. WE GOT TO SEE A LOT OF PLACES THROUGH THE CITY THAT NORMALLY WE WOULD NOT GO. OUR GUIDE WAS A LOT OF FUN. IT'S A GREAT TIME AND YOU EVEN GET DISCOUNTS AT SOME PRETTY UP SCALE STORES.

I enjoyed watching Sex and the City after seeing the tour. Been watching the background more. When the bus stopped at "scouts" they did not tell us they were moving the bus over one block. We thought we were left behind.

We (parents and a 15 year old son) really enjoyed this. The guide was fun and informative, we saw a good sampling of midtown and the East Village, Chelsea, Tribeca, other neighborhoods. A nice mix of on and off the bus, little surprises and movie clips to show what we had just seen from a good variety of films.

Our Girl Scout Troop of six 17 & 18 year olds took the tour in June '06. The girls appreciated the tour guide's enthusiasm and energy very much. We liked seeing the tv and movie clips along the way. I would not recommend this trip for younger groups as they will probably not know many of the shows and movies mentioned and it is a long tour. We especially liked having lunch at Ellen's Stardust Diner where the tour originates. The wait staff sang and entertained us and the food was great!

As true fans of the show, my daughter and I had a great time. Well done, well presented. I can't say anything negative, because we had a wonderful time. I believe our tour guide was Natasha Malinsky for Monday June 26 11:00. She was fantastic, well spoken, great personality, dressed and looked the part - knew her information and had good control over her group. Well done, worth every penny. Thank you.
Great tour guide Sopranos Sites

The actor who played Vito met us at the tour start although I am told this was not arranged by the tour. It sure was a bonus. The tour guide was great as he was an extra on the show itself. The area we visited where the Soprano's is filmed is really old and run down. Satriales is actually an abandoned building dressed only during filming. You could walk by a million times and you'd never recognize it. Still in all it was fun. We enjoyed watching the clips on the bus of the areas we had just visited but again it was the tour guide that made it entertaining.
A Great tour with a FANTASTIC guide Sopranos Sites

The tour was very, very good. I think we were expecting more of an interactive tour vs. an informative tour, as we had done Sex and the City the day before with the same company and it was more an interactive style. At first, we thought it was slow and might potentially be boring. However, after we got going, we realized that it was really very good and just a different style. Our tour guide was Marc Baron, who had been in 13 episodes of the series, so he was able to give excellent information on all of the actors and their bios, behind the scenes information, and a lot of filming information in general. It was quite interesting to find out all about production, like how much it costs to film for a day, what type of buildings they look for when they shoot, and many more things related to the actual filming of the series. Marc was especially fantastic, so if you have the opportunity to have him as your guide, DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY! Overall we really enjoyed the tour, and it was a pick-me-up on an otherwise absolutely abysmal day in NYC - the weather was atrocious, which can't be controlled, of course - rain rain and more rain. We were so fortunate to have breaks in the weather each time we got off the bus at a location, so we didn't miss a thing. Last stop, of course, was the Bada Bing. Funny, it seemed cleaner inside in real life than it does on the show. Go figure! Anyway, a 4-star tour to be certain. Don't miss it!
Open seating disappointment Sex and the City Hotspots

Our guide was very knowledgeable and showing TV clips during the tour helped those who may not be familiar with all the shows. However, a BIG disappointment was that our guide would not seat two of us together. The way she handled it certainly showed that she didn't care if her customers were happy. In addition, one of the TVs was not working properly so my friend could not see all the clips. This received another "oh, well, that's the way it goes" response from the guide. The tour company needs to clarify that seating is open until you get on and then it doesn't change.

We really enjoyed the tour. It was reasonably priced. Our tour guide was fantastic! The stops were well planned. The pamphlet was helpful later when we finished the tour.
