Taking this tour will really enhance our viewing S

We really enjoyed seeing the show locations. Having a guide who has been on the show was even more fun. We especially liked the film clips linking the locations to the show. Seeing the Bada Bing was great but the stop is a bit commercial. I'd rather have a little narration on the stop rather than a shopping event (but my husband disagrees). Thankds so much

too long, too much trivia, too much Louis Prima

The tour guide gave it a good try, but even though I enjoy the Sopranos and have seen every episode, as well as all or most of the Goodfellas, Godfathers, etc., there isn't enough going on with Sopranos sets to justify spending 4+ hours wandering around eastern New Jersey looking at various non-descript buildings in the meadowlands. That there wasn't that much Sopranos stuff to see or hear about is sort of confirmed by the amount of time spent by the guide telling about various non-Sopranos sites such as various diners, and some other not-too special places, most of which are already forgotten. The sound system in the bus was poor, which kind of aggravated the discomfort of being subjected to endless repetitions of a couple of Louis Prima songs. I guess this was the bus driver's first trip on this tour so it was a little uncoordinated in that views of some places were missed because the driver didn't know to slow down in time, and couldn't go back because of traffic conditions. Since there were so few things of interest to see in the first place, missing some didn't help much. The guide had an encyclopedic knowledge of gangster movies, gangster TV, gangster actors and the Sopranos, and a pleasant manner and enthusiastic presentation, but the endless trivia gave me a whole lot more information than I needed. The 'Bada Bing' (Actually a pole-dancer club named 'Satin Dolls') was saved for the end and I suppose was intended to be the highlight of the tour. However, it was pretty lame and I can't imagine it would even stll be in business if it wasn't for being able to trade on the Sopranos image, the TV image being considerably more interesting than the real thing. In summary, a person would have to be pretty fanatical about the Sopranos to think this was a good deal, and of our group of about 30 there were two or three that seemed to fit that description. But, hats off to the proprietor of the tour -- Anybody who can continually get people to pay 40 bucks a head to be driven around eastern New Jersey looking at anonymous industrial buildings and the like for 4+ hours on an otherwise beautiful Sunday afternoon -- that person is truly a genius. P.T. Barnum would be envious.

Dissapointing

The tour itself was not worth the money. Driving past sights on a bus is not that exciting and I thought we would have time to walk around and actually go in the sights. Our tour bus was late, the dvd player did not work, the microphone did not work and the tour guide left us and we had to flag down the bus in the middle of the street. We got to see the street where Carrie lived but it was fast and uncomfortable because the guide expressed how people probably don't want us to be there.

My out-of-town niece and I wanted to see the many locales where various movies and TV shows take place. The bus was comfortable, and we LOVED our tour guide, Brian! We learned so much, saw wonderful exteriors of many shows, and had a great time. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

I went on this on my own as my husband wanted to go record shopping, I am shy, but found the whole experience fine! Went to loads of locations and found the clips shown made the actual ride to each interesting as well as refreshing my memory... Also a great overview of new york city... Shopping in the sex shop wasnt something I would usually do with 50 other people, but if you had mates it might be different? Checking out the bar that was the location for 'Scout' was cool, and yes the drink could have been inclided in the price, but 'Lou' the guide explained that it has something to do with the liquor licensing... And the cosmo was pretty good (and cheaper then most other places)! It was nice to stop next to the park and have a cupcake before making our way to Carries stoop, where the guide will take a pic for you with your own camera (wicked!). All in all a great tour, on your own as well as with mates, its a lovely day!

My friend and I were in NY for 4 days...we took this tour on our first day and it was by far one of the highlights of our trip! It was actually a great way to get an overview of the city (midtown and downtown). We loved the way every SATC spot shown from the bus was then reflected upon by watching the scene on video. The mini "field-trips" were great too...from eating cupcakes to sitting on Carrie's "front steps"...everything about it was fabulous. Our tour leader, Emily, (who by the way was AWESOME) gave us pop quizzes during the bus ride and it was great fun challenging our knowledge of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, Charlotte, and all of their men of course! This tour is a MUST-DO for all SATC fans visiting New York!!

Tour started 20 minutes late as your people tried to fill some empty seats on the bus. Not exactly fair to those of us already on the bus. Operator was friendly and knowledgable.

This tour was a highlight of our trip to New York. I was prepared to just go along for the sake of my girls who are truly hooked on this show. I had as much fun as they did and now want to go watch the show to see all the neat places that have made this show so addicting to my girls. It really is a great tour!

We had a wonderful time on the tour. Brian was a superb guide, very funny, good local knowledge. Great that he had lived around the city and could speak from experience. Seeing the clips from the films after seeing the actual places was a stroke of genius. We now have a long list of films to see or re-see with added knowledge. The tour was at the start of our holiday and gave us a feel for the city and highlighted many places we went on to see. We feel we now understand New York better, from an insiders point of view. Well done Brian and many thanks
