Great Way to See the City New York TV and Movie Sites

This tour was really fun. We found out about it by taking the Sex and the City Tour previously. The tour is a great way to see the city and all of the smaller areas you wouldnt normally venture to. For a hot day, it gave a nice tour while being inside an air-conditioned bus. The only negative part was the variety of movies and tv shows covered. Despite watching a lot of TV and movies, we didnt know many of the movies discussed. It was a fun tour though regardless.

It was a good trip with good information about the show and good spots that where shown. That we got the addresses afterwards was really good because than you could go back to the same spots on you own and explore them.

The tour was a GREAT way to see a bunch of the sweet Manhattan neighborhoods in a short amount of time. My friends and I were in from Chicago, just for the weekend, and found this to be an excellent way to see a bunch in a few hours. The stops along the way were VERY fun and enjoyable. The cupcakes were AMAZING!! Worth the tour alone!! Stopping at a bar for a cosmo and a sex toy store for some fun were appropriate stops :) The tour guides can be a little cheesy, while they "ham it up" for the tour....but it's all in good fun. The Sex & the City clips were a nice compliment to actually seeing the places in person. I'd recommend this to a group of girlfriends looking for a fun way to see many Manhattan "hot spots"!

i went with a bunch of friends and we had the best time ever!!! The tour was fabulous, we learned so much about the show, and it couldn't have been as good without an enthusiastic tour guide. Sonya was our tour guide and she only made the tour better. we loved her :) i'll be sure to recommend this to all my friends.

I liked our guide she was funny and she knew alot of interesting facts about the show. I WOULD Definatly recommend this to everone woman in the world!!!!!! If you knew every word of the show (like me) or even you just watched it sometimes ! It was fun for me a 34 year mother of three to take a break from everyone and go alone.I would also go back witha friend sometime if i was ever in New York again .It also showed me alot about the city!!!!

As New York is the main location for many popular films and tv shows, I was really looking forward to this tour. I was expecting to see many places of interest from modern global tv and film hits, such as Friends, Sex and the City, Ugly Betty, Devil Wears Prada etc, with a few oldies thrown in for good measure. However, this wasn't the case on the tour that I attended. The tour started off well with some references to Superman and Ghostbusters, but then seemed to concentrate on lesser known films and tv shows that are popular in the States but not so abroad. No mention was made to You've Got Mail, Maid in Manhattan etc, and instead we heard about references to Kate and Leopold and Serendipity, and then really old films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Arthur and Crocodile Dundee, and shows such as Gilligan’s Island and The Cosby Show. In fairness there were some sites that referred to Spiderman, Friends and Will and Grace, however as the tour was 3 1/2 hours long, places of recognition for me were few and far between. I don't know whether places were missed out because they are included in the other tours available such as Central Park sites and Sex and the City, but I was really disappointed that most of the tour went over my head. On the plus side, the guide Emily was fantastic - really knowledgeable and enigmatic and whilst I didn't know about many of the things she was speaking about, she did manage to hold my attention. In summary, I don't feel that this tour offered value for money for me. Most of the locations that meant anything to me were based in the Central Park/5th Avenue area and Greenwich Village, and I could have probably walked the streets and found them myself. I think the locations need updating to be of interest to a younger audience, and perhaps the tour needs to be cut down to 2 1/2 hours.

We recently went on the Manhattan TV & Movie Sites Tour and had a great time. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and friendly and made the tour very enjoyable. She showed us around Manhattan on a very comfortable air conditioned coach and pointed out a whole bunch of interesting tv and movie locations. She was very knowledgable, not only about TV, movies and their locations but also about other aspects of the city which was fun to learn about. The tour included video clips of the movie locations that we had been to see which was great and there were plenty of opportunities to get off the coach and walk around to see different sites. A highly enjoyable 3+ hours, would definatley recommend for any age group!

As a resident of New Jersey and an avid Sopranos fan, I was fascinated by the background information that was provided by our very knowledgeable tour guide. He interspersed his commentary with pop quizzes to test our knowledge and our memory of the older and newer episodes. The fact that he had acted in a number of episodes made his commentary even more realistic. One of the highlights of the tour, especially for my husband, was the stop in Lindhurst for the cannolis whichwere absolutely delicious. He has even gone so far as to determine just how far from our house the bakery is and he plans to visit soon --- and often! I've recommended the tour to a number of people who are looking forward to the experience.

I dont have the time to write a lot but I thought the tour was very informational and entertaining at the same time. It went fast and our tour guide was knowledgeable. It kept us all interested and held our attention throughout. I would recommend it highly.

We were so excited about this tour that we showed up 30 minutes early. But the guide never showed and although they had our phone numbers, no one ever called. There had to have been more than 25 of us waiting. To make matters worse, the contact phone number they gave had a recording, but no mention was made of the cancelling of the tour. Needless to say, I requested a refund. A couple of days later, I got an email that said the money would be refunded in 10 days. It hasn't been 10 days yet so I'm not sure if it will be a no show as well. Beside the total waste of our time, the worst thing about this incident was that we never got any kind of explanation or apology--no professionalism, not even common courtesy.

This tour was a perfect activity to share with girlfriends who are fans of the show. I loved seeing the locations on the tour and then viewing them on the bus. Incorporating the different times we got off the bus for cupcakes, walks and drinks broke up the tour and really allowed us to get a sense of NY. I highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide also gave us different places to visit at night and could answer any questions we had!
