A little disappointing Sopranos Sites

My husband and I are big Soprano fans and were really looking forward to our tour. The weather was horrible which was no one's fault but we were unable to see out of the bus windows because of the steam that built up on the inside of the bus. Pictures were almost impossible to take due to this and the fact that we mostly whizzed by specific locations. The stop at the "Bada Bing" where we thought we were going to be able to pick up some t-shirts also turned out to be a drag. We paid $45.00 for a baseball hat and a t-shirt and were given the incorrect size. The lighting was low and we didn't see that we had been handed the wrong size until we were back on the bus. The information that was provided to us in the brochure was incorrect and the e-mail address is undeliverable. The cannoli's were fabulous! Overall, the tour was ok but not as satisfying as is advertised.

Just took the tour 2 days ago with my 2 sisters! Even my youngest sister, who hasn't even seen more than 1 episode enjoyed it! Lots of fun, interesting facts! We plan to have a Sex and the City marathon next weekend, so we can compare to the things we learned and saw. We were a little leary about the length of the tour, but the time went really fast.

The tour guide was fantastic. It was the best part of our trip to NY. I enjoyed the tidbits of information we got not only from our guide but the bus driver as well. We'll have so much to tell our friends and family in Alabama!! Thanks!

Tour guide was energetic and fun, but the content was lame. How many references to the "Friends" show can one man take? You'd think "Friends" and "Big Daddy" were two of the most important shows ever filmed in NY! Few references to anything (movie or tv) that happened before 1990. This tour is good for twenty-something obsessed fans of the aforementioned, but with so many classic movies and tv shows that have made use of NY as a backdrop, I felt this tour could have been much, much better. The bus never went north of 51st & B'way during our three hour tour, but I know that a little more research on the part of the tour operator could have provided those of us who remember tv and movies before the 90's with a more entertaining tour of this area. Anyway, it was a good way to see Greenwich Village and the meat packing district without doing it yourself! (May I suggest a Central Park, midtown/uptown and Harlem tour of tv and movie venues?)

Tour guide was very friendly and most informed! Packed an awful lot into 3 hours, great value for money (the best $32 I've ever spent in New York!) Will be doing 'Central Park Tour' in November when I return for holiday! Would hope that another movie tour be created with new material in the near future as I'm hungry for more movie location knowledge! Dissapointed at not being able to film on the bus, can't understand why this practice is not allowed? Many thanks to Nancy, (I'll bring you a little gift from the uk!) when I return to New York! I had a great day and loved it! can't wait to do another tour soon! Steven X

My 21 year old daughter really wanted to do this tour as she is nuts about Sex and the City. I agreed to come along, not quite sure what to expect. We both had a blast. I was a lousy rainy day, and other than the bus delay at the beginning, we both have told friends that your tour was really well organized. Love the way the tv clips are played, as the locations are being passed on the bus. I have to tell you though, the tour guide really made the difference. Mame was really knowledgable, a great speaker, and very entertaining. She deserves a raise! She will remember us, and the 2 girls in the white coats that answered all the questions! It was interesting to see all the locations where some of the scenes were filmed, need more stops to visit and more time rather then short brief 10 min stops. I totally recommended this to my girlfriends, 3 of my other friends, we call ourselves the women as similar as Sex in the City. We're looking to take a trip out there in the summer and I will definitely have them take this tour as well. Look forward to going on the tour again, I went by myself this time I think it will be great to be with my girlfriends! Thanks for a great time!

Mark was excellent - very informative, expressive, enthusiatic, and friendly. The tour was more than we expected. The only thing that could have made it better would be a genuine autograph or meeting one of the stars. Thanks for a great tour!

The tour had been highly recommended by friends and as I am a fan of the show I was looking forward to it. While it was enjoyable, it did not meet my expectations. The tour started off late and it seemed as if we were playing catch up the whole time (also because there was a second bus behind us) - everything was rushed, especially the drink at O'Neills - I had all of 5 minutes to drink my Cosmopolitan!

My 3 teenage daughters and I went on the Sex and the City Tour. I personally don't watch the show but my three daughters (one especially) are fans. I enjoyed the tour as much as they did but for different reasons. I loved the tour of Manhattan broken down into its different sections. It gave me a sense of location to be able to go out on my own later and explore. My daughters loved seeing all the different locations relating to the show, especially Carrie's apartment. One of my favorite photos is that of the 4 of us drinking virgin cosmopolitans in the bar. The tour guide (Mame) was great. She was enthusiastic, funny and knowledgeable. It's a great way to start off seeing the city of New York and if you're a fan of the show, it's fun to see all the locations.
