cool and educational Sopranos Sites

i live near jersey in east pennsylvania only about an hour and a half away and im a humungous fan of the sopranos so i knew i had to go on this tour. it was fun the other americans on the bus were of course the funnest because we knew the most :) i met the actor and got his autograph. (20 bucks for an autograph but i had to do it) so it was pretty fun im not a fan of the location it was in NYC and there were homeless people in the street but besides that pretty fun

It was a very enjoyable experience. The guide was great - and was one of the main reasons why the tour was so interesting! Definitely worth the money - but I think one should have watched quite a few episodes of the Sopranos in order to fully appreciate the tour.

I've watched The Sopranos since the first episode and I feel it's probably the best dramatic series ever on television. When I first read about the Sopranos tour I made a mental note to take it when I was next in New York City. About a month ago I got an email showing a $59 airfare from Chicago to New York on JetBlue so I checked out hotel availability and the Sopranos tour dates and then booked the flight. The tour was everything as advertised, with one exception: Satin Dolls (Bada Bing) was not open for business because of Memorial Day, so I didn't have the opportunity to have a drink there. The tour did stop there and we were able to go inside and get souvenirs. The tour guide, Marc Baron, was first class. His knowledge of and background with The Sopranos was encyclopedic. Plus he's a good guy. I heartily recommend this tour, especially if one can get into the Bing for a drink and a dance.

A Thoroughly Enjoyable Tour Sopranos Sites

It got off to a great start with Joseph R Gannoscoli (Vito) signing books and having his photograph taken. Not one but two Soprano actors as Marc Baron revealed he too had appeared on the show. Excellent choice of locations with enough time to take in the atmosphere and photograph from all angles. Marc's commentary was informative and entertaining with the odd quiz thrown in to keep everyone on their toes. The interspersing of video clips of the Sopranos was inspired and often quite amusing as Marc explained the various bloopers that had crept into the show over the years. it was also very interesting to get the inside explanation of why locations were chosen and the logistics of putting it all together. It is something the viewer just takes for granted for if it is done well (as it has been with the Sopranos), it will not be noticed. The highlight (if it is possible or even fair to single out anything) was the cannolis which were delicious. We had never eaten them before and they blew away our Weightwatchers diet in one stroke! The tour coach was just right with plenty of room for everyone and big windows to take pictures form. A word of praise for the driver too as his sensitive handling of the tour coach by the scenes was much appreciated. To repeat, it was an excellent tour, many thanks. Gerry and Jo Kandler

highly recommended for sex and the city fans-- for both locals and tourists. my girlfriends went on this tour and had lots of fun! we re-enacted scenes and saw the city through the eyes of carrie, miranda, samantha, and charlotte.

The tour is one of those things we locals miss and I'm glad I found out about this one. From start to finish the tour was enjoyable and amusing. I even visited neighborhoods in NYC that I'd never been to before and I live here!!! The best part was the tour guide Stephanie. She didn't miss a beat -- funny, very informed and made us feel part of the show. She connected with the group and even offered suggestions on other "hot spots" in the different neighborhoods we were in. I've been on many tours around the world and I have to say she is the BEST tour guide I've encountered. Thanks for a great time!

i went on the tour with my husband and my friend--we enjoyed the tour alot --we liked seeing where the moives were made and hearing tibiits about the movies. we didnt realize how many moives were made here in central park--i know that two of my favorite movies were made in central park and it was fun to see that spots that they were filmed in. Our tour guide kym was very knowlegeable about the movies that were filmed in central park.

Not a bad tour. The air conditioning on the bus wasn't working which made an uncomfortable trip. There was also something happening in Newark which made the tour detour missing a site or two. The TV reviews of where the sceens took place were good and helped put things into sequence. The guide was knowledgeable

The Sex And The City tour my fiance planned for me in New York was brilliant. Coming from London and it being my first time in The Big Apple, I not only got to see so much of the city but learned alot more than I already knew about my favourite TV show. It was fun, informative and really memorable. I will definitely recommed ALL my Sex And The City fan friends to do it when in NYC.
