A huge waste of time and money Sex and the City Hotspots

The highlight of the tour was getting off the bus at the end, I only wish we had the sense to get off earlier, as a few couples wisely decided to do at the first stop. Spending three and half hours stuck on a bus to only see a split second sight of random buildings was not what we anticipated. If you are a huge 'Sex and the City' fan do not be fooled into taking this tour. Put on a good pair of walking shoes and explore the tour path yourself. Do not waste your money or your time on this "tour". Everyone on the bus seemed bored despite the guides attempt to dramatize every sight. Remember on top of the tour fee, you have to purchase your own cosmopolitan.
Time allocation issues Sex and the City Hotspots

I signed up for the tour with great enthusiasm because my husband and I are huge fans of the show. Overall, the tour did a decent job of showing us various locations from the show, but it left out some major venues including Carrie's apartment. The guide made no mention of this critical location until she was asked directly and then we were told that the location was off limits because of legal reasons. Seems that we should have been told that as part of the official tour. A more apparent problem with the tour was its allocation of time at drop off locations. For example, they left us in the meatpacking district to look around at the shops where the characters have purchased items during the series. This drop off was not long enough to make purchases (as evidenced by the tour attendees who held up the departure of the bus while buying something), but it was also too long for those not making a purchase. These stops should be reduced to allow more time for showing additional locations from the show. Another minor warning: The bathroom on the bus is like a port-a-potty. It does not provide anything to wash your hands.

we felt my friend and I by the way she's from scotland anyway we thought along the way at places that were used in the set there could of been the characters from the movie sex and the city,not necessary the 4 original girls but people similiar to them or even other people that featured in the movie,it mite of made it more interesting......good tour though...

The tour was excellent - the tour guide was very knowledgeable on all phases of Sex and the City, both series and movie. A TV screen on the bus showed clips from both the movie and series of the areas we were viewing from the bus. The bus driver was friendly, the bus comfortable and kept at a temperature comfort level. We saw a lot and enjoyed stopping for cupcakes at Maxines and our final stop with a nice cooling cosmo. We were a group of six and we enjoyed the trip very much. A must for all followers of the series and anyone interested in seeing an overview of some famous ares of NY City.

Rosanne, tour guide, was energetic, knowledgeable, entertaining. My family and I enjoyed the tour. Would like the option of riding on top row of double decker bus to see the city, hard to observe some sites due to obstructed view from window frame. Was nice way to see city with someone knowledgeable without having to walk to take a taxi.

Our tour guide, Lisa, was very funny and knowledgeable about the show. She knew a lot of interesting facts that I did not know. We would watch show clips on the TV before the bus would stop at that destination and I really liked that.

The tour was so really fun. A must to do but recommend to do it at the beginning of your stay so that you have time to go back to some of the "sex in the city" shopping, dining and special locations at your own leisure time. The tour guides are very interactive, beautiful and fun. I had my teenage daugher with me so it was cool to share the experience with her. However, it is important to note that it depends on the maturity level of your teen due to some of the tour content which should be expected if you are an avid "sex in the city" viewer or fan. I would love to see this as a full-day tour so that we can see more spots and spend more time at these sights!!

We had this tour recommended to us by a friend and decided to try it out. We are SO glad that we did! It definitely was a highlight of our trip to New York City. Our tour guide, Roseanne, was very fun, easy to relate to, and seemed to know everything about NYC. We had a great time seeing the sights and enjoying the beautiful air-conditioned bus as we drove around town. We will definitely recommend this tour to all of our friends.

Bus was new and clean very comfortable and showed video clips from the TV show and some from the movie. Our tour guide was pretty and friendly. We enjoyed the tour, the cupcakes and the cosmo's. The tour bus gave us a good look at Manhattan uptown and down. The 15 minute breaks always stopped at stores. I would have preferred to stop at more show locations to take pictures. I would like to see a big cardboard photo of the "Girls" so we could stand and take pictures with them. The tour seemed a little flat without a sighting of Carrie. Overall it was a great day.

Liked this tour a lot but we didn't know as many of the movies as we would have hoped. It had a lot to do with the "I am Legend" movie which we haven't seen so that made it difficult. We would have much rather gone on the Sex and the City tour, however, we had a 4 month old baby and they told us we couldn't bring him. So unfortunately this was our only other option.

The Sex and the City OTS tour is encompassing enough that it can be taken by anyone who is just interested in travelling around the city, even if you're not a fan. While there should be more video clips (is there a reason that almost all the clips on the tour came from opening credits?), the tourguide was highly enthusiastic and humorous and made the tour additionally enjoyable. An age limit should be strictly enforced though. There was a 13-year-old on the tour and it was evident that the tourguide was attempting to censor herself to a certain degree in order to be accomodating (even though it shouldn't be her responsibility to do so and was done so at the detriment of the spirit of the tour). All in all, the tour was an enjoyable experience and well-received.
Where was Carrie's apartment? Sex and the City Hotspots

I was surprised and disappointed that we did not stop at Carrie's apartment. Prior to booking the tour, I had even inquired to see if every tour included it, and was told that it would. I ended up finding it myself, but it was a little surprise that the tour didn't include it, especially considering most tourists come long ways to see it. Otherwise it was fun.
