It was a great tour, well worth the price. Our tour guide was very knowledgable, and made it fun and interesting, without all of the cutesy jokes that ruin some other tours. |

Our tour guide, Bones, took us around the city and told us lots of interesting bits of local history while pointing out landmarks and managing the mule team . He made the tour very enjoyable. This was a good way to see Charleston for the first time. All the folks at Palmetto tours were very nice and made us feel welcome. |

This is our second tour with Palmetto Carriage Works. Both have been very good. The City of Charleston is very beautiful and this tour shows various locations in the historic city. The tour guides are very versed in the history of the city and make it interesting even for kids.The free parking is a great perk for the tour and it gives you the ability to tour downtown without having to find parking. |

We did the carriage ride and harbor tour combo package. While the Zerve website makes you pick the carriage tour time, there is no information on what times the harbor tour leaves. Unfortunately we bought tickets and missed the harbor tour because we got to the marina after the last tour had left. The carriage ride was fun but just make sure you look at the harbor tour times because the information is not readily available on the website! |

If you have a limited amount of time to see Charleston, I highly recommend this tour. The guides are fun and you get to see a lot of the city! |

We had never been to Charleston and the carriage tour was a perfect introduction to the history and unique architectural features of the city. We especially enjoyed the fact that our driver was very knowledgable "off-script" - he readily answered questions about the city. Being a Charleston native, he also brought the unique flavor only a native to the area could. The carriage was comfortable and in the heat the driver gave the horse ample time to rest.
We were also impressed with the smoothness of oeprations, from the pleasant attendant at the parking lot to the gracious hostess in the snack/gift shop. In the barn itself, grooms appeared to be tending to the horses' every need and everything seemed very tidy and clean (for a barn).
If we were to return to Charleston, we would certainly choose this service again. |
