From the time of our reservation through the end of our tour, everything went smoothly. My wife and I our our 2 kids (6 and 10) went on the tour in late May 2011. When we drove up we were directed to a parking lot to take advantage of the free parking. They pointed us to the Red Barn a block away. We could smell the stables (all the tour companies are next to each other) so we knew we were close. Once we arrived the young girls took our name and confirmed that we paid on line. After about a 10 minute wait we boarded our carriage. The tour the city aloted our carriage was The Battery. Our tour guide was a History professor in his past life and a native of Charleston. He was very informative and patience with my daughters frequent questios. Over all I recommend Palmetto Tours! |

I would highly recommend this tour - the guide was funny and appealed to all ages and the pick up/drop-off at the stables was comfortable and entertaining for the kids. The free all day parking was an added bonus! |

Family was in town and we had a great time with an excellent tour. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes from what our booked time was, but other than that it was a class act. Parking attendant quickly got us in the lot, and the checkin was taken care of soon as we walked in. Not sure if we got lucky, but our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the charleston history and was entertaining and animated throughout. We all had a great time |

Our tour guide was Bob and he did an awesome job. Since the guides do not know which route they will be assigned, they have to be knowledgeable on everything and he certainly was. Very impressed with the experience. |

My out of town guest thoroughly enjoyed learning the history of Chasleston...he thought it was awesome...This was my 2nd carriage ride and I learned things I did not learn on my 1st trip being as we took a different zone...Purchasing the tickets on line was the only way to go...I enjoyed the free all day parking...and yes I would take an out of town guest again with this company... |

My daughter (4) and I (24) had a wonderful time on the carriage tour. At the barn we got to pet a baby donkey and look at all the pretty mules and horses. Our tour guide was friendly and funny. Although my 4 year old became slightly bored toward the end of the tour, we would definitely use this company again in the future.
PS- I really like that this company takes the temperature of all the working animals after each tour for their well-being. |

i went with my 4 boys and unfortunately drew the same tour number as about 13 years before. i realize the city has a lottery for this but i was unimpressed by the section toward the lake, historic public housing. and college of charleston. i was envious of those tours i saw near the white point gardens and east bay area. it also seems that every delivery truck came up behind us so we missed a lot of the verbage from the guide. we were on the back row. i had hoped the tour might be a good intro for the boys, but they were not as thrilled and neither was i. i probably wouldn't take the tour again because i'm afraid i draw the same tour. |

We enjoyed our carriage ride and tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and I learned a lot of Charleston history. Would recommend both the carriage tour and the harbor tour. |

The carriage was very full And uncomfortable. Driver spoke mostly about the churches in charleston. We were hoping 4 little more history. |
