My mom watched a show about Charleston and always wanted to go on a carriage ride through the city. I helped make that wish come true. She and I both throughly enjoyed the ride, the history, and the beautiful city. My mom has difficulty with mobility and I can assure everyone that Palmetto made that a non issue! Boarding and unloading was easy and accessable for her. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Charleston. Thank you Palmetto!

Great tour!!!! Well organized from beginning to end. Lots of options to which time works best for you and your family. Matt was our tour guide. He was not only very knowledgeable with the history of Charleston, but also very funny. We will definitely utilize Palmetto Carriage Works again, especially since there are four zones to see. Cost is very reasonable and the Big Red Barn was perfect for picking up and dropping off it's customers. Loved, loved, loved this ride. Many thanks to Palmetto Carriage Works and their staff for making our visit to Charleston most enjoyable.

The carriage ride was great. However, we had 4:30 reservations, got there at 4:10 and the parking attendent felt there would be no problems and asked if we wanted to go earlier but we declined. We sat there watching group after group leave. Until we started complaining did we get any attention. We kept hearing that they only had to serve us with 30 minutes of our time. Now if I had a restaurant reservation, I wouldn't be happy to watch walk ins being seated before me. Well, this is the same. This is our fourth carriage ride and the reservation system was not worth it as we nearly missed our 6:15 dinner reservations.

We were very pleased with our tour. We started our stay in Charleston with a carriage tour so we could all get our bearings in the city. Don, our guide, was very knowledgable and friendly. The Red Barn was clean and neat. Everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable.

A carriage ride is one of the best ways to see Charleston. The guides are highly professional and well-informed. The company takes pride in its care for its animals. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Loved the carriage ride, the friendly polite attitudes of all employees from parking to guide. All staff! They offered to help my 86 mother into the carriage. We enjoyed all the sited and the info. we loved the free parking and the fact that we could leave the car there and go to lunch and do a little shopping afterwards. I only wish that Zerve did not charge to extra dollars above the beyond the fees.
