My daughter and I enjoyed the tour. It was most informative. We learned about Charleston history and gave a great overview of the city. Everyone was most helpful and very pleasant.

best way to see Charleston

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour of Charleston by horse drawn carriage, actually this outfit uses mules, but the tour was fabulous. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable. We saw more than we could have by walking and learned lots of interesting facts about Charleston. I can't compare this tour with others as we only took the one, but they were fabulous. I made reservations online from where we were staying. I had to guess about how much time it would take us to get there.... and then we had some delays due to road construction.. We arrived at the last minute and were directed to VERY convenient parking and then were whisked to the front of the line to get on the carriage and off on our tour! We never even got a formal ticket! They say you get 4 hours of free parking with a ticket but I couldn't see how anyone could tell how long we'd parked there. I'm sure it was more than 4 hours. I would take this tour again the next time I'm in Charleston.

Just What I Was Looking For

The carriage ride was exactly what I was looking for. The driver was very knowledgeable about Charleston's historic downtown including the homes as well as other landmarks. She did it in a way that was interesting but also humorous. It was well worth the time and the money spent.

Guide was very personable and informative. Great route that included many historical homes. Rhyme and Reason were the mules that pulled the carriage. All of our party had a great time and were able to take memorable pictures. Would highly recommend this activity while you are in Charleston.

We thought that both tours were really informative. The guide was knowledgeable about the city. Really appreciated knowing that the mules were well cared for. The only place that I would like to see some improvement was with additional restrooms. Also it was mentioned that there were three different tour routes which were determined by an individual in a booth at the time of departure. As we would like to see the other areas of the city, there should be an option of going on tour 1,2, or 3.
