The tour started on time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and the houses. It was a great tour. I would highly recommend it.

Our driver/guide was funny and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Charleston and its history by someone who was obviously enthusiastic about what she does.

My wife and I enjoyed both of these activities. Ron, our driver on the Carriage Tour was entertaining and very informative. It was fun to watch Carter and Cash (our mule team) interact as they pulled us around the streets of Charleston. I highly recommend the Palmetto Carriage Tour. We also enjoyed the harbor tour....the sights were impressive and the Captain provided an awesome history lesson during our 90 minute excursion.

Carrie was our coachwoman and she is the reason for such a marvelous tour. Her knowledge far succeeded other tour directors. We learned so much history and background about the city of Charleston. We and the other couples thoroughly enjoyed the time with c CARRIE.

We've enjoyed the carriage ride twice now. We went the first time about 3 years ago. We enjoyed the route we went on the first time better than the route we had this time though. We had the college route (for lack of a better description) this time. I understand the route is the luck of the draw. The guide we had this time was fairly knowledgeable but almost seemed to rush through the route. It was shorter than the one hour time frame expected by about 12-15 minutes.

Tour 3

We were on tour 3. It was very informative. We sat in the back row of the carriage and were able to clearly hear the tour guide. He turned and talked to us, not the mules. When we visit again, we would go on another carriage ride, except that we would not want to go on tour 3 again. We would like to see other sites. There's no guarantee that we would get another tour number. We hear that the Battery tour is the best one, but we don't know the tour number for that one.

We had a very limited time in Charleston so we did the carriage and harbor tour to see and learn as much as we could. The carriage guide was exceptional. He infused humor into the facts and was inclusive to everyone. The harbor tour was fine too, and the captain knew his stuff. We want to spend time in Charleston on our next pass through because of things we learned on the tour. It was money well spent!
