Loved the tour and the knowledge of the guide. Really liked the fact they used a team of mules instead of a single horse. Company had real concern over welfare for wellbeing of the animals. Great introduction to a great town. |

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had great stories of the history of Charleston and tol them like a fascinating narrative. We had such a relaxed time touring such a fascinating city and our kids (4 and 6) really enjoyed it. |

The carriage ride was enjoyable. Our guide was very knowledgable and funny. There were four of us in our group. Ages ranging from 19 to 64. We all enjoyed the ride. We took the church tour. There are 3 tours but you do not know which one that you get. We would have loved to have taken another tour but you have no idea where you are going until you are already on the carriage. The town does a lottery. |

Wonderful overview of the city. Wish it would have been longer. Our tour guide was well informed and answered all our questions, no matter how trivial. The other personnel in the Barn were personable and courteous. |

Our 4 person carriage ride was a highlight of our visit to Charleston. Our host (John) and horse (Steve) were wonderful and entertaining and the ride was surprisingly comfortable. A real must!! |

Tour was great - guide had a lot of knowledge. Only downside was the wait. Had timed tix and had to stand outside on streeet for 30 mins due to crowding in the barn. That could have been better. All in all however, good experience. |

We took a bus tour, this carriage tour, and a walking tour because when we got to Charleston, we were just not charmed, not "getting it." After reading on our own and walking what felt like the entire town and doing these tours, we LOVE Charleston. So much history, so much original architecture and furnishings. We left feeling a lot of empathy for this beautiful city that has endured so much. The carriage tour was very nice, calm, restful, informative. Nice tour guide and driver. Would go again and do recommend. |

There were three of us in our group celebrating a granddaughter's 16th birthday. We always try to do a 'ride' of some sort when we visit a new city. Palmetto Carriage was extremely professional. We booked our tickets on line, and experienced no difficulty when we arrived. The website was clear to note that there is a 20 minute wait from the time you check in, so we were well versed on what would happen. Our carriage driver was extremely well educated in the history of Charleston and had humorus antedotes on many of the locations we saw. We would definitely do this again since we learned that the City 'manages' where each carriage ride will go and only allows for 20 carriages on the streets at a time. My husband has not stopped talking about what a great tour that was, and we have taken plenty. Well worth the time and effort ! |

DRIVER OF THE CARRIAGE WAS A TRUE HISTORIAN OF CHARLESTON RECITING ANECDOTES OF THE PAST ALONG WITH TIES TO THE PRESENT. EVEN MY YANKEE WIFE WHO AVOIDS HISTORY ON MOST LEVELS, LEARNED A FEW THINGS--AND SO DID I. DUH MULES BE FINE WID ME . . . I DONE NO 'BOUT DIS HARE DING ON DUH HORSESS AN DUH MULES --ALL'S I KNOWS DAT DEY GIT ME BACK TO THE BARN. |

This is my second time using Palmetto Carriage Works. Again I was impressed. I love the fact that I can take my out of town guests all thru downtown Charleston without getting sore feet. Ken our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. When we have family & friends visit we will be using Palmetto Carriage Works. |
