Although the tour was enjoyable and informative, was totally shocked at the overcrowded, chaotic atmosphere at the barn where we went to get on the carriage. Way too many people trying to use the "facilities" before the tour began and the environment of hay and horses left me ill by evening with a severe allergy attack. Would NOT have taken the tour had I known we would be waiting around in a barn. Left the farm many years ago and had no desire to "experience" it again in Charleston.

This is the second time my husband and I have taken this carriage ride. The first for my daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves each time. The city of Charleston is so beautiful and to see it up close was amazing. We live in Maryland and only get to Charleston every few years but I plan on taking the carriage tour every time we are there. They offer three different tours so it will be interesting to see the entire city when we are done.

The tour guide & route was well planned, and very informative for a 1 hr tour. I easily recommend this company to get a good overview of downtown Charleston history.

The guide had nonstop bits of information presented in a very entertaining way. He paused at all the right places for better views as he described the background of what we were seeing. I wish I could have gone on for another hour. Oh yes, I now know how to pronounce Chaaaaaaaston!

I had my mother-in-law & sister-in-law visiting from Massachusetts and wanted to show them Charleston. Myron was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a wonderful time! When I asked my in-laws what the enjoyed the most during their week long visit, both replied the carriage ride in Charleston. I highly recommend this and especially recommend Myron as a guide.

The driver was very informative and articulate. We had tour one and enjoyed all of the history he provided us. He was able to answer all of the questions. Would definitely ride with Palmetto Carriage again and recommend it to others visiting Charleston.

The carriage tour was excellent. Tour guide was amusing and knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. Carriage was comfortable and clean. Adding the optional harbour cruise was great value and also an interesting tour.

My mom, sister and I went to Charleston for a short stay and the Carriage Tour was a perfect way to learn about Charleston's rich history and see all of the beautiful homes. This is by far the best way to see the city. Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable. In addition, we got 4 hours of parking included which enables us to have a nice leasurely dinner afterwards. This was a perfect Sunday afternoon.
