Palmetto

We enjoyed the tours very much. It was a great way to take in the history of Charleston in a short amount of time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Palmetto Carriage Works for a tour of what has now become our favorite American city. We will be back!

Able to learn a lot about history of Charleston. Driver,sorry can't remember his name, but, it we a short name, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He had a great sense of humor. He seemed to enjoy his job. It was a comfortable way to learn a lot. Whole process of getting tickets on line and parking was very easy. Everyone, parking attendant, barn employees and driver were very friendly.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Charleston! It was very enjoyable, offering both entertainment and information!

The carriage was comfortable. The tour didn't seem too rushed. Our tour guide Matthew was very knowledgeable. He pointed out little details that made the tour much more fascinating. My party of three thoroughly enjoyed it!

On our first day walking around Charleston, we took note of the various carriage ride companies in town and noticed that the Palmetto tours seemed to have tour guides that were more enthusiastic and interested in what they were showing their customers. We therefore chose Palmetto and were very happy with our choice. Our three girls ages 17, 13 and 12 loved Winston, our tour guide, and they learned a lot about the history of the town as we continued on our tour. Our girls love history and were able to get their questions answered at the same time they were enjoying the beautiful views of Charleston. Winston gave wonderful details of many historical houses in the city, and it helped our girls decide which houses they wanted to tour. Thank you for a great tour and we would recommend it as a first stop to anyone visiting the city.

I have done (2) carriage rides, both with this company. There are a lot of companies in Charleston to choose from, but I think this group is the best. The tour guides must need a bachelors degree in history to work here. They are extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. This is a great way to see the famous sites of Charleston without walking.

The guide was knowledgeable and humorous. He mixed history with anecdotes about the lifestyle of the residents and had some comical moments with managing his horse as well. The barn staff was friendly and courteous. Would definitely do again!

Great tour guide but little kids on your were annoying my date.

Fourth tour and have enjoyed it each time as tour guide knowledge has always been very detailed, but yet different from one to another and area toured varies regularly per Charleston mandate. Zerve booking made it a no wait experience for us. Will book that way in the future given opportunity.

The ride was comfortable and safe. It was a little hot, but that's to be expected in July. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the fact that you don't know which part of the city you are going to. You could end up, I guess, taking the same tour over again. Overall, I thought it was very enjoyable.
