My mom hasn't been to Charleston in 50 years, so we wanted to give her a special day to remember. I signed up for the 9:30 tour to ensure cooler morning weather. John Ross was our guide, and he provided us with a phenomenal tour of Rainbow Row and the Battery areas. He was very personable and knowledgeable, and his sense of humor was light and made us feel comfortable. My mom commented that this was a day she would never forget and that the tour made the trip even more memorable. I would definitely do this again and highly recommend Palmetto Carriage Tours. |

Our out of town guest and grandson ( age9) found the carriage ride and boat trip fascinating. Will recommend or do this again with out of state guests. |

We learned quite a bit of information. My only recommendation is that you go early during the summer because it gets really hot. |

Our tour guide was very engaging and well informed. The only issues I had with the tour was having to sit in the carriage in the heat! The waiting area for the ride was extremely hot and uncomfortable, as was the tour itself, but that's Charleston. Definitely take the tour, but take it in the fall. |

Palmetto Carriage Tour was a great experience from the time we drove into the parking area until we left the barn after the tour. The staff was friendly and helpful. The tour guide was very interesting and knowable. My children especially enjoyed her interaction with her horses, that she called her sweet girls. On our tour we saw all of Charleston that we hoped to see. I would highly recommend Palmetto Carriage Tours. It was my families favorite part of our vacation. I really enjoyed the free 4 hour parking we received because we booked early on the Internet. |

What a great tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, and gave us a serious history lesson with just the right touch of humor along the way. This young man knew his stuff, wasn't just reciting from memorized factoids. We found July to be almost unbearably hot in Charleston so GO EARLY IN THE MORNING, as we did, and you should be fine. You will feel like the ultimate tourist but well worth it; a great intro to the city and we followed up with a visit to one of the historic houses that we learned about on this tour. |

Interesting for all, a true highlight. Our four year old enjoyed the novelty of riding in a carriage as well as seeing everything at an easy pace. no crowded seats, easy to hear and easy going guide. A beautiful way to see the historic district and hear local stories as well. |

Our tour guide, Mark, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Being a Charleston native was a plus in my eyes. Overhearing guides on other tours made me appreciate him even more. This tour is a great way to get an overview of the city and to help plan areas to visit in more depth. In addition, the explanation given on your website regarding the use of mules, instead of horses, played a part in my choice of Palmetto's carriage tour. I would highly recommend this carriage tour! |

My wife and I took a Palmetto tour on the first day of our honeymoon. Our tour guide was Matthew, and he gave us a few great tips on our days around Charleston. We also got the luck of the draw and were able to tour down Rainbow Row. Definitely, a must see, and we'll definitely be returning to Palmetto for our future tours! |

Our tour was with Bob (and Susan). We thoroughly enjoyed learning the history of Charleston as well as seeing and learning more about the homes and who the previous owners were. Our tour guide was very informative and entertaining. It gave us many ideas of other things to do and see while in Charleston. THANK YOU to Bob (and Susan) and to the Palmetto Carriage Company for a great start to our vacation! |

This is our second time using Zerve to purchase combo tickets for a carriage ride and harbor tour. We are always thrilled to not have to wait in any lines to buy tickets. This is a fast, convenient way to get your tickets. Both tours are fun and enjoyable for our entire group, ages 15-80 years of age. |

Our family of 3 took the one hour carriage tour on a 95 degree morning, on the third day of our visit to Charleston. Given the temperature, one hour was about the extent of what we could take given the morning sun angle cooking us a bit. Our tour covered routes we had already walked. We recommend this for visitors on their first day, for orientation. We found the guide's information interesting, and presented in an entertaining manner that will have us remembering historical tidbits. We did find the tour pricey at $22 per person, for one hour. |

I researched a number of different tour companies in Charleston and Palmetto had the best reviews and the nicest website. The big red barn is so cute in person. Jim was our tour guide and he was wonderful!! He has been giving tours for 10 years and you can tell that he really loves his job and the city of Charleston. The hour long tour was very interesting (and funny) with all of the history behind Charleston and the homes that we passed. We are going back in the Fall and Palmetto will be our 1st stop. |
