Do not hesitate to take this tour, it was informative and fun. Our guide was well informed about the area and made the trip very interesting. We were lucky to pull route #1 from the city (they control the routes the carriage driver take) so we were able to see the Battery area, water front and all the mansions in those areas. After the tour, we walked the same route and were able to take pictures of quaint gardens and special points of interest. It made it more fun knowing the secrets behind the beautiful homes and city streets. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

The carriage company is well run and the free parking is great. Our carriage driver "Bones" was a great guide with a lot of knowledge and a good sense of humor. I recommend this carriage tour to any one who wants to get a good initial look of the city.

First time visiting Charleston and this was a must! I knew the red barn would appeal to my 12 year old and she loved it! My husband and teen enjoyed it as well. So easy to get to and park. The staff were all so nice. Would recommend this to anyone and could not have imagined Charleston without this!

What a great experience! The horses seemed well taken care of, carriage was comfy(though a little packed) , and tour guide was super knowledgeable.

We truely enjoyed the carriage tour of Old Charleston. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable and even provided some humorous antidotes of the historical people and homes. Would take additional tours of other sections of the city with Palmetto Carriage Works.

We did not go to a very interesting part of town and there was no way to choose beforehand. We wanted to hear more Charleston history.

Very enjoyable. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and quite humorous. If it's your first time in Charleston, I highly recommend this tour. It's a great way to learn quite a bit about the history of Charleston. Our group included elderly folks so this was a great way to cover a lot of ground in a short time. Highly recommended.

We loved our carriage ride through Charleston. Our tour guide/driver Ryan was just wonderful. He had a great combination of history, facts and humor which made our ride very entertaining. In addition, we arrived early and the carriage company was able to fit us on an earlier tour. That was a bonus for us especially when our time in Charleston was very limited. We had a great time and will definitely do it again next time we visit.

We highly recommend this option for families as opposed to the general carriage tour. The personal interaction with the guide makes the small cost difference more than worth it. The added comfort of a personal carriage pushes it over the top.

We had a very limited time in Charleston so we did the carriage and harbor tour to see and learn as much as we could. The carriage guide was exceptional. He infused humor into the facts and was inclusive to everyone. The harbor tour was fine too, and the captain knew his stuff. We want to spend time in Charleston on our next pass through because of things we learned on the tour. It was money well spent!
