We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around Charleston

this was a good trip as well as informative. Good guide.

I booked this carriage tour for my wife and I and another couple from Connecticut (their first trip to Charleston). The 4-person carriage is the way to go. It is very comfortable and a fun experience. Malcolm was a great guide -very knowledgeable and personable. Justin was well-mannered and seemed to enjoy the trip as well. I will use Palmetto again on my next trip.

We had a great guide and told us so much about the history of the areas that we toured. The weather was great and the town of Carlestron was super the entire week that we were there. Will plan to come back again.

Great experience from registration to end of tour....very professional, organized, friendly, knowledgeable outfit. Would defintely do this again.

We did not go to a very interesting part of town and there was no way to choose beforehand. We wanted to hear more Charleston history.

We loved our carriage ride through Charleston. Our tour guide/driver Ryan was just wonderful. He had a great combination of history, facts and humor which made our ride very entertaining. In addition, we arrived early and the carriage company was able to fit us on an earlier tour. That was a bonus for us especially when our time in Charleston was very limited. We had a great time and will definitely do it again next time we visit.

We did this as a last minute trip to Charleston and wanted a tour that did not involve walking too much. This was perfect! The guide was very pleasant (as was all the staff at the Red Barn) and informative and we appreciated his love of the city and his horse team. The tour takes you to the main Old Walled section mostly and I was in awe of how beautiful this city is. The tour gives you much information about its history all while relaxing under a canopied carriage. Great way to see the historic area!

In the combined opinion of the four of us, this ride was an excellent way of getting an overview of the historic areas of Charleston. Our guide/driver was quite knowledgable and enthusiastic so we gained a good appreciation of the things/areas we would like to explore on our own later. This is a great way to start a visit.

Have taken this carriage ride several times and it has been wonderful. This time not so great. We saw the same houses during the tour and not so much of the city. This may be because they give the carriage drivers certain routes to follow and they are stuck taking that route. Will use them again. The horses seem happy and the drivers are fun to chat with.

We took the carriage ride only. It was too cold while we were there to try the harbour tour. The carriage tour was excellent. To control traffic in town, 3 different routes trhough the city are provided. We were lucky enough to get the route that took us through the Battery. We had done a van tour in the morning and wanted to get a closer view of the homes and scenery there. The driver was excellent with lots of little tidbits given about this section of the city. I would highly recommend tPalmetto for anyone thinking of doing a carriage ride. All the people involved were pleasant and accomodating.

We took a private carriage ride as recommended by the homeowner of our accommodations during our visit to Charleston. Glad we did! Our driver, Bob Jones, was extremely informative and made the trip quite interesting. We asked a lot of questions to which he provided intelligent, meaningful answers. Only suggestion would be to somehow provide more leg room as it could get a bit cramped. However, Bob was so engaging that we did not often notice. Wonderful tour that I would do again.

This was our first trip to Charleston. A friend back home recommended we take this carriage tour and we were not disappointed. We learned so much and saw beautiful architecture. Our guide was wonderful! A must do when visiting Charleston.
