This was our second carriage tour in the city and the first one with this company. The parking attendant is a little rude and off-putting but the rest of the staff was very nice. We were most pleased that because we booked through Zerve we could park for free in their lot for the enire day and it was close to the market and restaurants. Because of the free parking it makes it a better value. The tour guide was pretty good and the day was beautiful. We took my elderly mother and my sister on tour while they were visiting. It was especially nice that they had the loading and unloading area wehe my mom did not have to use stairs. Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking to do a carriage tour just don't let the guy it parking turn you off. |

Our guide Al, was very informative and well versed on describing the history of the tour area we took. Having never been to Charleston, SC before, this an added bonus for my wife and I. |

Everything went great, time, guide, tour, etc. except the 3 small children sitting in back of me. They never stopped talking and playing, kicking my back and crying, they ruined the whole trip for everyone.... The guide seemed annoyed but said nothing.
Small children should have to ride with other family's with small children. I won't tour with little kids ever again. |

Very much enjoyed the knowledge of our tour guide, openness to questions, and funny bantor. I would have liked to have known there were 3 zones for the tours a head of time though and a bit more detail on the areas each zone covered. Possibly something to add to the website. The company took very good care of their horses and I appreciated the bag the horses had to catch any unwanted smells, etc.
The tour was helpful to be able to get a sense of the city to then tour later on foot as well as an overall history. I highly recommend this tour. |

Did not see the more interesting area's of Charleston. Was mostly taken down back alleys and looked at a few houses. History of homes interesting. Carriage ride was 1 hour spent most of time pulled over. Harbor tour was more interesting. I would suggest on/off tours, where you buy a ticket for a day and can get off/on at any stop. Gives you time to look around the area. |

This tour was one of the best experiences I've ever had! Our guide was humorous, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He knew the history of Charleston inside and out and it was so interesting hearing about all the families that once lived in the area. The tours take 5 different routes so I would love to come back and do it again. Learn more history and see more beautiful homes. I just can't get enough of Charleston, SC- "The gem of the South!" |

The carriage ride is an absolute MUST DO in Charleston. Your carriage will travel down historic streets lined with beautiful estates while your tour guide gives a narrative on the history of Charleston and also adds humour and interesting facts along the route. It is not only educational but entertaining! |

I would tell anyone that this is a great way to get a feel for the city. You also get to see places that as a tourist you would probably miss otherwise. |

Purchasing the tickets through Zerve was wonderful! Would do it again. I had given the carriage ride
as a gift to my daughter and daughter-in-law for Mother's Day. None of us had ever been on a carriage
ride and was enthusiastically looking forward to it. The disappointment was in our tour guide. He had a
speech impediment which made it almost impossible to understand what he was saying. Had we not been
on the 2nd row in the carriage we would have never understood what he was saying. I really felt for the
guests on the 3rd and 4th rows....especially since they were mostly seniors. I would be willing to say they
probably did not understand him at all. I feel bad about saying this because I know the gentleman cannot
help his impairment, however, it surprises us that a carriage company would employ someone with this
type disability. I almost asked for a refund or another tour with a different guide. Mary Lynn Britt -
tour taken on May 10, 2011. |

This carriage company (Palmetto) is the oldest in Charleston and the only one using a team of mules to pull the carriages. (We passed another company's one-horse carriage whose horse had chosen to just "stop".) Great guide, smooth ride, easy on and off. We purchased a "combo" pkg. The boat ride was pleasant, too. But, also on Zerve, you received FREE all day parking in the Palmetto Carriage secured lot. This completed the "triple play"!! |

Our tour guide, Jenny, was warm and welcoming, a true ambassador for your fair city. Her commentary was informative and amusing. The tour provided historical background as well as interesting fun facts about the local culture. I highly recommend this tour as an overview to introduce Charleston to visitors there. |
