| We met our guide at City Hall Park entrance just as the directions described. She was excited and enthusiastic as we were. The walk as easy and the stories were great! You could tell that she knew her subject and we had done some research and we knew she knew her stuff. Our guide was very educational and funny, which made it very enjoyable, one of the best tours we've ever done.
We are not in the greatest of shape, but this walk was not difficult by any means. I've already highly recommended it to some friends that well be in Manhatthan for the next week. Thank you! |

| Our guide was an enthusiastic, revolutionary-period history buff. She is very knowledgeable of NYC during this time period. The tour is accurately described in the web-site listing and more than met my small group's expectations. Don't be put off by the length of this tour (2.5 hours)! The pace and terrain covered are not difficult. Don't hesitate, book today! |

| It was my first trip to NYC and it seemed so vast and intimidating at first but Karen helped give it a focus and made it more easy for me to relate to it not only in terms of where things were located geographically but its rich history, and some determining factors of the characteristic of the people of NYC- their buoyancy, perserverance, and strength. I learned some historical trivia and many facts, saw pictures of NYC during the Rev. era and got to know a few others who seemed to love American history as much as I do. I'd recommend it to everyone! |

| A great way to spend a few hours in Manhattan! Karen, our tour guide, dished up so many interesting tidbits about the goings-on in the "town" that the time just flew by. It's amazing what bits and pieces are still present in today's lower Manhattan to tie the whole story together. Duane Reade is more than a drugstore chain! |

| Due to inclement weather, we were the only ones on the tour. This proved to be quite a treat because our guide was extremely knowledgeable and willing to interact with all our questions and opinons. We really appreciated her extensive knowledge and genuine interest and excitement in her topic. We came away with a whole new impression of the history of colonial New York, life during the Revolutionary War, and the war events that took place in New York City. |

| My wife and I took this tour on the first day of our stay in NY. We loved it. It gave us a good sense of where the spirit of New York (and New Yorkers) came from, something we thought about for the rest of our trip. Even if you don't like history, go on this tour. It is not dry. The guide is EXCELLENT--enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and sensitive. Again, strongly recommended. You will learn why and how New York became New York! |

| We thougt that our tour guide was terrific: she knew both the general themes as well as the "hidden gems" that gave so much color to this exciting period in American History. Karen not only focused on New York but put it in context of the American Revolution.
Karen's continuing research was evident in the maps, copies of Broadsides, etc made the tour even more interesting to my wife and I As someone who teaches US History at 2 local colleges, about 99% of what she talked about was new inofmration.
Her passion for History and for New York during this time will be remebered always. |
