| This walking tour of Revolutionary NYC was a delight! Our guide was well informed of both well-known and obscure people in the period from 1765 to 1797 on Manhattan island. Her enthusiastic presentation displayed her love of the subject matter.
Whenever applicable, she was able to cite the primary documents.
We learned of the early workings of the Sons of Liberty in the context of New York's constant factional in-fighting, shedding light on why the New York assembly was so hesitant to come out for independence. Another highlight was learning of the battle of Brooklyn and the occupation of New York by the British, including Washington's spy ring.
In all, it was terrific to hear the personalities of an epic time in US history come to life, warts and all in the places that they walked. I enthusiastically recommend this tour. |

| How many times do you walk through a city and read the brass plaques, but still have relatively no concept of the activity or the person it is commemorating?
This tour, factually and passionately portrays the events, the people, the geographics and the politics of the time. Our tour guide's thorough knowledge of the time period enabled us to see past the skyscrapers and imagine the city of the 1770s.
I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to know more about the Revolutionary period or just the history of NYC. My favorite part was at the end of the tour. She will show you something that remains from the day the Declaration of Independence was read to the citizens of New York in the year 1776.
This was the best 1.5 hours that I have spent in a long time!
Next time I'm in NYC, I will sign up for the Civil War tour! |

| Great tour with an awesome guide. I took the tour with my 28 year old daughter. Karen, our tour guide, was full of information that was continually interesting and kept our rapt attention for the entire length of the tour! She gave us a tour of the city that we would have never experienced on our own! Definitely recommended - if we had the time we probably would have taken the Civil War Tour also! |

| We were completely impressed with this knowledgable tour guide. We learned many things and covered an extensive area. The stories came alive for us as she described the historic scenes at each stop along the tour. We would definitely do a Patriot Tour again on our next visit to New York. |

| My wife and were on our NYC "stay-cation"... and we decided to do something totally new. We decided to try this Patriot Tours walk around lower Manhattan. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT! It was both fun and informative. We got to see lower Manhattan like we never had before, and we gained a very special appreciation of our city. SUPER-highly recommended! |

| My husband and I took two Patriot Tours in August 2008. This year we had time for just one, the Revolutionary Era tour.
Once again Karen, our guide, provided a superb experience! We were amazed at all the facts she had at her command - the result of her diligent research in primary source documents such as newspapers, letters, and cemetery records. As we walked around lower Manhattan for 2 1/2 hours, she drew together stories of people and places to create a vivid portrait of the era. Names from the history books came to life, and through Karen's knowledgeable and enthusiastic presentation, we were able to gain insight and appreciation into what made that era and those people so inspiring.
We highly recommend any of the tours offered by Patriot Tours, and plan to include one or more on every visit to New York City. |

| In school, I studied History because I had to. Nancy did a fantastic job putting together the Revolutionary war with the prominent names we are all familiar with but more importantly she told the untold history in an exciting story format with a cast of people I knew little or nothing about. Allot of surprises. If I had her as a professor, I would have changed my major.
I can not say enough about Nancy and hoe much enthusiasm she has, and the excitement she brings. She is a great communicator and story teller. I was never bored and surprised at the thing I did not know and how interesting NY played during this time period.
I would HIGHLY recommend, and in this economic environment it is a great way for all members of the family or visitors to NY spend a couple of fun hours! |

| I am very impressed. Karen knew so much about her topic and was able to make the details come to life in a fascinating way. I loved it! Thank you. |
