The guide brought us back into history. She painted a picture of the physical and political landscape that spanned a period of about 5 years. She drew in many revolutionary war references from today as in Duane and Reade. Overall, it was interesting and I was happy to have made the trip. I recommend it to everyone. |

Nice Tour, Less Talking, More Buildings

Our tour guide was good, very detailed and knowledgable. I learned many new facts about NYC. I was born and raised in NYC and worked downthown for years but never stopped to really look at what was around me. The buildings we saw were amazing, some I didn't even know existed. I am now going to take a more detailed tour of several of the churches we saw on the tour.
The only negative was I felt the tour was a little too detailed at times. Otherwise it was informative and fun and I have already recommended it to others. |

Karen is so knowledgeable and eager to give us what we want. She spent extra time with us, answered all of our questions and offered additional information. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour since we learned so much about our country's history, and also because Karen was awesome! We would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!! |

When we decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary we were looking for things to do in NYC. We already knew our dinner plans but wanted to do something in the early afternoon. We came across the Revolutionary Era Tour and glad we did. We not only had a wonderful time we got a thorough and enlightening education in the history of NYC during the 18th century. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, thorough and insightful. She was also very well versed and engaged us as we walked thru the city.
We could have walked for several more hours listening to the history of NYC.
We would certainly recommend this to everyone, especially students and young adults looking to really understand how America was formed!
Bravo! |

Karen explained that her goal is to know more about the Revolutionary-era history of lower Manhattan than anyone else, and she is well on her way (if she isn't there already!) Instead of simply pointing and spouting facts and figures, Karen stops and explains with depth and understanding the how, why, who and what, focusing on essential, yet often overlooked, elements that lead the colonies to fight for their freedom from England. Karen is easy-going, enthusiastic and confident. It was a pleasure to spend 2-1/2 hours with her. |

Just returned from New York where we had a fabulous tour with Patriot Tours. Can't recommend it highly enough. The guide was one of the most knowledgeable I've seen. She not only really knew her history but knew how to bring it to life for us. My daughter and I both loved it and highly recommend both the tour and the tour guide. They were both fabulous!

Our guide, Karen, was extremely knowledgeable. She made the Revolution come alive with the stories of the famous and not-so-famous New Yorkers who played a part in our Nation's early history. |

This tour was great. Our tour guide, Karen, was able to transport our group from present day Manhattan to the revolutionary era. We were entertained and taught little known facts. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat or any other Patriot Tour. In fact, I have already suggested the tour to a few friends! |
