After some friends told us about the Revolutionary Tour, we found a way to squeeze it in our last day in NYC. We are so glad that we did! Our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining and spirited. She showed us many parts of NYC that we had never visited, or had previously walked by without realizing their historical significance. By the way, we lived in NYC for about 11 years prior to this "revisit", so that is saying a lot!
Highly recommended for tourists and history loving locals. A must for anyone interested in the making of this nation. |

Our guide, Karen is absolutely amazing. She certainly knows history and presents it in such an enjoyable, fun way. Her research and ability to quote original sources is to be applauded. In a time when American history in our schools is presented as mundane and revisionist, a fact to which our high school senior and college sophomore will agree. Karen brings freshness and reminds us who those that fought and struggled for our independence really were. One comes away from the tour with a new sense of pride in America and the values for which she stands. We can't wait to take her Civil War tour. |

When we decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary we were looking for things to do in NYC. We already knew our dinner plans but wanted to do something in the early afternoon. We came across the Revolutionary Era Tour and glad we did. We not only had a wonderful time we got a thorough and enlightening education in the history of NYC during the 18th century. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, thorough and insightful. She was also very well versed and engaged us as we walked thru the city.
We could have walked for several more hours listening to the history of NYC.
We would certainly recommend this to everyone, especially students and young adults looking to really understand how America was formed!
Bravo! |

Interesting to hear it the point of view from the north. Interesting new facts since most of what is taught in schools revolve around the mid Atlantic states such as Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and the southern states. |

Our guide was VERY well-informed, and her delivery was perfect: interesting, funny, conversational. She was so full of historical and fun facts; I'd like to take the tour again because there was just too much to remember. The weather was bitterly cold, and she sought out places along the way where we could be protected from the wind while we listened to her, which we all appreciated. |

There is a lot of history packed into a small amount of real estate. Our guide really brought it to life. We loved it. |

Took this tour with my husband a few years ago; brought my 13-yr. old history buff with me this time. I enjoyed it every bit as much the second time, and my son also thought it was great. The stories come to life via Karen, who very effectively communicates her love of history to you, the tour participant. You get a great sense of the drama of the Revolutionary period, and an interesting glimpse of what the city looked like at that time - and the traces of it which remain today. It's all very different from the Times Square area to which many tourists limit themselves. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who has even a passing interest in history.
One of these days I'll do the Civil War tour, too. |

Greetings,
If you are looking for the best historic tour of lower Manhattan concerning the Revolutionary era, then this is your tour. We also took the lower Manhattan tour through VIPNY, and this one was by far better.
You will NOT be disappointed, and will learn things nobody else is offering. Amazing.
Thanks,
Hombre & Marci Liggett |

This was my first tour with Patriot. I will take future tours. The guide was well informed and easy to understand. she seemed happy and a pleasant person to spend a few hours with. She added depth to the tour by discussing the financial social and political factors motivating the early New Yorkers and made it so fun with her discussion of the rivalies and pranks (and brawls) that occured. |
