This was a fantastic tour. I learned a lot. Our guide was full of interesting stories and was obviously very well-read re: New York history. A great way to spend an afternoon for visitors and residents alike! |

This is a great tour for locals and tourists. Karen is extremely knowledgeable about the era and history of NYC in general! This tour is best suited for UK and US tourists or NYC locals since the tour traces US revolutionary history through lower Manhattan. I really enjoyed the tour--and although I'm American my English husband and friend enjoyed it immensely as well. |

i've taken both the civil war era tour and now the revolutionary war tour from patriot tours - both were excellent. She covers and array of people, events and ideas which are key to the fascinating history of lower manhattan. highly recommended. |

Karen (tour guide) has a true passion for the local history and does an amazing job sharing the passion and history with everyone. The tour is fun, educational, and very interesting. Having grown up in the area, I learned a tremendous amount. I would recommend this tour to anyone. |

I had my step-father in town, who is interested in history and likes a walk. Having similar interests myself, I thought the Revolutionary Era Walking Tour would fit the bill. I've taken tours in other towns, for similar reasons - it's a good way to get a different view than most guide books could or would give you. So much, however, depends on the person presenting the tour - their knowledge and enthusiasm. I was both pleasantly surprised and very happy with the tour, the depth of knowledge and ability and willingness to present the information that was consistently displayed. I'd recommend this to anyone interested - and plan on taking another tour offered, such as the Civil War Era tour - when the time presents itself. |

Karen's tour was absolutely fascinating. Not once was she dry and stodgy, with a recitation of dates and facts. Rather she focused on the personal stories and anecdotes. The tour was long -- more than two and a half hours -- and we weren't bored for one minute. Just be absolutely sure to wear comfortable shoes! |

Lovely tour guide but tour not really designed for international tourists who are not fully informed on the history of the American Revolution. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the topic but we couldn't follow some of the details (and time lines) as we only knew a small amount on the topic and the tour guide assumed we knew a lot more. As we were the only two on the tour we thought it could be tailored to us as international tourists but unfortunately it wasn't. |

This walking tour of lower Manhattan is rich with stories and details about the area's Revolutionary history. The guide brings to life many of the people and events that were so central to the birth of our country. The walk is well-researched and presented by a guide who clearly loves what she does. |
