| Karen is a wonderful guide through New York's part in the Revolutionary War. She has obviously done enormous research, knows her material so well and was able to impart a real sense of the times into her presentation. It was clearly evident that she loves sharing her enjoyment of history, as well as her depth of knowledge. I am so glad I signed up for the tour. This trip back in time was well worth the fee. |

| This was truly a perfect combination of:
-An informed guide
-An enthusiastic, personable, and pleasant guide
-Provided us with all the information we wanted without being overloaded
-Added anecdotes to make it interesting without being too "cutesy"
-An overall excellent experience
Thank you! |

| Both my son (25 and working in NYC) and I (his visiting mom) really enjoyed this tour. Karen brought alive Lower Manhattan during the Revolutionary War and the years not only leading up to it, but the years of Dutch settlement as well. Now I know that Water Street was so named because it was once a shore line street and Pearl Street got it's name because oyster shells were harvested along its shore. And Wall Street ... well, you can guess. Go take the tour and enjoy! |

| We saw 3 Broadway shows and ate at 3 fine restaurants, but our tour is what we continue to talk about! It was fascinating, fun and gave us such great information. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and we are already looking forward to next year to go on the Civil War tour! |

| Our tour guide, Karen, made history come alive with events people and places along the tour. Karen's excitement and love for the topic spilled over to us, making the tour interesting and informative. We had watched DVD Disc 1 of the Ric Burns PBS series on New York, and so we wanted to actually see where the events took place. However, watching this program is not necessary, because Karen is able to guide the tour at any level from novice to highly knowledgeable and tailor the experience to the audience. We would do the tour again, and we highly recommend it for those interested in the history of New York and it's role in the development of the USA. |

| I called and asked if I could postpone our tour. We had to return to Westchester to a sick child. No one returned my phone call. I am disappointed. Valerie Malsch |

| Very interesting tour. Karen described the history so you could picture in your mind how the area looked. We learned about many real people from that area and it made the history come alive. Looking forward to her history of the achitecture of NY tour! She has done hours of research and really knows her stuff. |

| I read 1776 by David McCullough about a year ago and got very interested in the history of the revolutionary era in new York. When I was in new York last week for five days I went on this tour with high hopes, and Karen completely surpassed my expectations with her knowledge, scope, and passion. I highly recommend this tour.
My only recommendations to Karen would be to have introductions in the beginning so the group can be less formal. People like to know who their walking around with, even if it's only by name. Also, I would like to have more opportunity to ask questions, though I did so while walking and in between stops.
Nonetheless, it was one of the most interesting and exciting tours that I've been on. |

| This was a fantastic tour. I learned a lot. Our guide was full of interesting stories and was obviously very well-read re: New York history. A great way to spend an afternoon for visitors and residents alike! |
