| Exceeded our expectations! The guide was Very enthusiastic & Very knowledgeable. Very relaxed pace... We highly recommend this tour... especially for NY ers ... we're locals and no idea of the historic places and sights that we pass by on a regular basis... a new appreciation for Lower Manhattan! I'm getting tickets for my two daughters.... | ||||||

| The stories and information brought a little more to the table than what we are taught in school. It is interesting to listen to how things have not changed politically or how little we have learned from our own history. It would be great if we had someone like Washington who only cared about the success of the country and not about his own ability to get elected. Someone who would be honest and not spend all his time telling us what he thinks we want to hear. | ||||||

| The tour guide from Patriot Tours was extremely good at what she did. She made history come alive for us as we walked among the many sites NYC has from the Revolutionary War. It was a cold and rainy day in June so she also tried to spend as much time as possible inside buildings (such as Saint Paul's Cathedral) to allow us to warm up between jaunts. I would whole-heartedly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a side of New York City you won't get from a tour bus. | ||||||

| My wife and I booked this tour and are glad we did! Karen is a wonderful guide and in very short order you realize she REALLY knows her history! She took the time to answer any questions and made us feel as if we'd been friends for years. Anyone interested in historical New York must take this tour! | ||||||

| My time with Karen was well spent as we walked through downtown Manhattan, rich with history. All the stories, anecdotes and descriptions were finely detailed. I was especially pleased with the period cartoons that helped reinforce the emotion and conflicting opinions. This was a rare treat for those who appreciate the Civil War and the great ironies involved. There is so much to learn that we never hear of in traditional forums and public education. Truly an eye-opening experience and one not soon forgotten. I highly recommend it and consider is comparable to a crash course in New York history. | ||||||

| This was one of the best tours I have been on. The guide was very knowledgeable and made you feel like you were there during the time period. Even history buffs will learn something new. The city has a fascinating history and the guide loves the city now and then. I highly recommend this to everyone! | ||||||

| we very much enjoyed the tour because we were the only one on this tour and the guide was able to change the tour from its original concept to meet our individual knowledge. Besides that the guide was having a good knowledge about all we wanted to know and was speaking clearly in an very entertaining manner. Thanks a lot We will join other tours during our next stay. | We were all very interested in participating in this activity but Karen made it very interesting and showed so much enthusiasm that she made us enjoy it even more than we anticipated. We now want to do her other tours as well; but perhaps will do those in warmer weather. I highly recommend that you take one or all of her tours. | ||||||

| We come from Australia and don't know all the history that amercians have of their own country however our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative in explaining various details. I would recommend the tour to anyone. It was an easy pace so no problem for anyone to keep up. The guide knew her subject very well and even when we finished down at Battery Park, she stayed and spoke to a few remaining for another 15-20 minutes. I would do the tour agin in a few years time as it was a great way to really understand the histroy of the area and I am sure there will be more information next time. | ||||||
