It is a great way to see downtown, learn some revolutionary war history and learn about early NYC. I wish there were a lot more of these kinds of tours. |

Karen was enthusiastic, and knowledgeable and obviously loved talking about the subject. Our grandchildren had both studied the revolutionary war in school making this tour very meaningful. We were sorry that the tour had to end. We would have loved to listen to Karen for the rest of the day. |

This tour is perfect for those who want to learn more about the history of the city. Our guide was very nice and very interesting and she was able to answer all of our questions concerning architecture and history. We highly recommend this tour. |

The info was relevant, but the tour guide would stop and talk for about 30 minutes at one spot, and then walk a very short distance and stop again. |

My boyfriend and I thouraghly enjoyed this tour, we were lucky as it was only the two of us, we are from the UK and knew a little of the history at that time but Karen our tour guide certainly filled in the gaps! We had a great time wandering through Lower Manhatten stopping at sites along the way and Karen answered all the questions we asked. I would certainly recommend this tour for anyone interested in American history or even just wanting to know about the early 'years' of Manhatten and how it has 'litterally' expanded. |

This was the best and most interesting tour I have ever been on. It helped that I wanted to know more about the struggle that occurred between the Brits and the Americans to create this great country (I didn't know that New York City played such a key role in this struggle). The tour guide, Karen, was very pleasant, knowledgeable, energetic, and interesting. You could see the enthusiasm in her eyes. It was apparent that she loves early U.S. History and she loves to share what she knows. The tour lasted approximately 2 1/2 hours and let me tell you, we covered a lot of territory in that short time frame. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history of lower Manhattan and especially anyone interested in early U.S. History. Karen rocks!! |

Our group was small and intimate, just 6 people, so perfect for this tour. Our tour guide was both informative and lots of fun, she was very patient with our questions, and completely exhaustive with her answers. All in all, highly recommended and would also do the other tours offered. |

Karen, our group leader, showed such enthusiasm as she led us from spot to spot. Her love of the subject was so evident as she talked about some of the "unknown" founders of the area.
We moved from site to site very easily as the importance of each spot was explained. I couldn't believe that the tour was over as she kept our interest the entire time. |

Would recommend this tour to anyone who has even the remote interest in history. Great tour, learned a lot and enjoyed the day. Karen is very passionate and knows her stuff. Thanks Karen. Look forward to taking another tour with her in the future. If you do go, make sure you say yes to Karen's offer to see "the turtle." This extended the already great tour another 20-30 minutes, and was very much appreciated. |

Our guide did a great job of providing deatiled information about the Revolutionary period in NYC history. The tour went around a lot of lower Manhattan, with frequent stops to explain what happened in the area. Buildings still in existance were pointed out. The guide was very attuned to the needs of the group and tailored the content to questions and interests. The guide was also helpful in recommendations to make getting around the city a bit easier for out of towners. I would choose this company for another tour. |

My mother and I really enjoyed the tour. Karen was very knowledgeable about the buildings we saw and the beautiful architecture on them. The visual aids of the past were great in seeing how the city has changed and what remained the same. The pace was perfect and we saw enough different buildings to really understand the architecture of the times, how it changed and why and how it influenced new buildings today. Thanks again, it was so much fun!!! |

This is my 4th visit to the city. My husband and I brought my parents and our children for the first time. We spent four days in the city, and this tour was my favorite part. We are history geeks and we homeschool our children, ages 10 and 12, so we look for opportunities to learn wherever we travel. I was excited to find this tour, and it more than met my expectations. Our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and presented all the information in a way that held our interest for the 21/2 hour tour. I would recommend this to all. |

Very insightful and interesting. Knowledgeable guide. Only wish was that Trinity Church was open on the weekend, but nothing the company can do about that. |
